  • Does it pull to tight on your edges when you close the gaps on the top of your head?

  • Great stuff. I love the tips on closing gaps and also layering long and short strands. Thanks for uploading this.

  • Honey u gave me a new idea for a hair style u n ur daughter its real cute

  • Please share how you maintained this type of hair.

  • Hello, please share tips on how you maintained the hair. Thanks.

  • This looks like an old movie wtf!

  • You could have left your hair natural. With cornrow braids you did not need any color since most should not be able to see the scalp too much except for a desired part. Also, your braids are TOO LARGE.

  • amei essa técnica não prejudica os cabelos

  • Your hair looks amazing I love it.

  • @MrsSanders10 Thank you appreciate it. Glad it's helpful. :)

  • @puppyboo9 thanks, yes she's very helpful! Appreciate you watching and commenting. Enjoy your week.

  • @DonnaB63 thanks, i appreciate it. Have a great week.

  • @therealshoopeeshoop I have a vid in that actually. You simply take down the cornrows. :)

  • @therealshoopeeshoop thanks for watching. I appreciate you watching and your comment! Have a great week. :)

  • This has been so helpful to me! You and your daughter are gorgeous...thanks so much!

  • Aw your daughter helping you is cool :D Nothing like mother-daughter time lol

  • The others I've seen don't show that lol

  • I love it. And you showed how to close the gaps and what to do with the ends of the cornrows.

  • I love this style..it looks so natural and easy...I do wonder however....how do you take them out?

  • @miamivicepastels83 Thanks, you'll love it just keep it moisturized. :)

  • this looks very natural. i like

  • Love this technique. I used to get it down 14 years ago when I was pregnant; however now I can't find anyone who can do it. Everyone in the Cleveland area laughs when I ask them about it. I wish I was talented enough to cornrow and do it myself :(

  • @DLBABYGIRL Aww... thanks for watching. Well if you can't cornrow, get a fam/friend to do it for ya or if you can do the single braids, might take longer but you can part it and braid it halfway, then connect it to the next till you have a base. then crochet the hair on. had a friend who did hers almost that way cuz she couldn't either but she would use those bands with da fabric on them and do a connection to the next till she had a base for her weave. Hope it helps. :D

  • U did a very good job...

  • @cjrogers16 Thanks so much for watching! Appreciate it! :D

  • I love how your hair turned out. I just finished some crochet braids using the freetress deep spiral and I love the fullness of it. I surprised myself because I thought 2 packs (cut in half) wouldn't be enough. Now I realize that with curly hair, it fills in really nicely and you don't have to worry about the cornrows showing. Again, great job! :)

  • @bbgrl87 Lol! I does doesn't it? and talk about inexpensive! That's like 10.00 cuz over here it's 4.95 per pack. By cutting it in half, you just have to shape it cuz you pretty much have the length, too- at least for me it was. Great job and thanks for watching. appreciate it. Hugz! :D

  • I love this, very educative! pls can this be done with straight extensions? will it cover properly? thanks.

  • @KenieOrobo Hi, it can be done, however, it takes a very long time as the hair is straight and thus, doesn't cover the base cornrows, unless packed on and very close together. Hope this helps. Thanks for watching.

  • looooved this video! The best, to the point, informative and fastest videos. I searched and watched quite a few but, some talked waaay too much or didn't explain well enough. Your video was right on target. I loved that your baby girl was assisting you. I will be trying this style this weekend on my daughter and maybe myself as well. I did crochet on her when she was little but, it was the pre-braided crochet curly micro braids.

  • @cjde2533 Thanks for watching, I'm glad I could help. I knew it was going to be a very long video, which I would have to speed up so I did text instead of speaking. Have a great weekend. :)

  • You did a awesome job, I love it. You made it look very easy as well. I can't wait to try this technique out. Thanks so much for this very informative video. It should prove to be very helpful. Thanks again!!!

  • @cvalp1 I'm glad it's helpful! Thanks for watching, and I hope you share yours! Can't wait to see what it looks like! :)

  • Hello, thanks for the tutorial. May I ask, how do you fast forward through/speed through the video, so everything can still be seen but don't take as long?

  • @TiffanieM1 You've got mail. So sorry for the late respons! :D

  • OH this came out sooooo cute with the side part instead of straight back like most people do!! You did a great job of the cut too! Fabulous!

  • @bmjm1974 Thanks for watching! Yeah, I had to cuz I have thinning on the top, so that's why I do it that way, it helps to add fullness. Have a great week! :D

  • cute !

  • @tanealsa Thanks for watching! I appreciate it! :D

  • wow love the hair this is the best one i have seen so far very easy to do and you explained it well i rate this number one but how did you cut the hair without making it uneven, it looks great on you.

  • @helen63611 Hi, thanks for watching! Because the hair is curly, it is very forgiving. So as you can see in the video, I used my fingers as guides to cut it diagonally with the shortest part on the outer part and diagonally down towards me(my skin), I hope I'm making sense. LOL! So it looks like an 'O' when you look at the whole shape.

  • I dont understand why people waste money on human hair? I always use sythetic and get much compliments, I especially like Freetress. Anyway your hair looks beutiful, do you just mix the two types of hair strand by strand , the go go and the deep twist?

  • @nphugg Hi, thanks so much for watching! Appreciate your comment. I do mix them, but not really strand by strand just equal bunches of strands. Now, I use the GoGo in the back as the Deep twist tangles a bit easily.

  • I really like the braid pattern you used. I will try this next time. Can you tell me how many times you tied the hair so it didn't come apart?

  • @disdivarox Hi, thanks for watching. I knot it 2 times with the first pieces then, separate two smaller pieces from each bunch and knot them 2 times. Hope this helps.

  • aw thats so nice doing it with your daughter! good to teach them while there young, lol. me and my mun did my hair together at easter (she hasn't done my hair in like 6 years). Youtube is great...i told her i've least how to do natural looking twist an i'm going to do her this summer :-)

    thanks for you informative vid

    xoxoxo

  • @hmm101alot Yes YT is awesome. You can learn so many things here. That's really great you've learned so much. I'm sure she'll appreciate it, when you do hers. It's always great to have someone do it for you for a change. LOL! Thanks for watching! :D

  • This hair is soo pretty. What brand and name is it?

  • @smiley7027 Hi! That's the GoGo curl and Deep Twist. The Water Wave is pretty popular. I just could not find it. So I just used the next curl up from it. They're all by Freetress. Hope this helps. Thanks for watching and have a great weekend. :D

  • Thank you. Can you give me a few human hair brands and hair types that you have had good results with. I tried one last night and it would knot would not stay. Thanks in advance.

  • @leglo1584 Hi, so sorry to hear that. I've not used human hair on this yet. I seem to be stuck on the sew ins and quick weaves this Spring. LOL! Perhaps you could make 2 big knots then take a tiny section of each and knot it twice and see how that goes. I thought the human would knot better than the synthetic. :(

  • kute i like it

  • @MissIndependent4171 Thanks for watching! I appreciate it! :D

  • How you you take them out.? Thank you. Great Job. This will be my hair style for traveling this summer. My hair is natural. Is synthetic hair better for this syle over human?

  • @leglo1584 I have a video called "Crochet Braids Takedown". You just take the cornrows down and the hair comes out as you go along. Thanks for watching. :D I think for summer, human should be ideal. Synthetic will be hot in my humble opinion. Winter and synthetic should go along. LOL! Wear a cap though in the winter, since the fibers can get cold, and it's very cold on the scalp. At least that was my experience.

  • That came out really cute.

  • @Angelarobins1967 Thanks so much! :D

  • I did crochet braids (we called it latch hook where I'm originally from) on my mother's hair as well when I was about your daughter's age in this video. I can't believe this technique has come back FULL FORCE!

  • @LadyJade217 LOL! I know right? I love that you can use any loose hair and not just the braids. So the amount of versatility reaches new heights with this technique. Thanks so much for watching and sorry for the late response.

  • @2luvlikidz That's okay! We get busy at times...it's cool : )

  • look so hot

  • @cocaroots Thanks so much! Appreciate you watching! :D

  • Aww . So Cute That Your Dauqhter Is Helpinq You (:

    But

How Lonq Did It Last ?

    Any Tanqlinq Or Sheddinq ?

    Please Respond .

    Thanks !

  • @crunkid101 Thanks! I usually keep it in of 4 to 6 weeks. But I have thick coarse hair. Perhaps 3wks will be ideal. No shedding nor tangling, since I moisturize with oil moisturizer and brush it. I love it.

  • if anyone knows where I can get my hair done like this in Detroit can you please let me know thank you =)

  • @prittylady72793 Thanks for watching! :D

  • ur daughter is so skilled to kno how to do this at such a young age! great job!! ;^D

  • @TheLatelycrew Thanks! She's a quick learner. I'm so grateful to have her! :D

  • i love your video..one of the top 3 crochet braids tutorial.

    how long did it take?

  • @summerjewel63 It took about 1 1/2 hours thanks to my daughter! :D

  • @summerjewel63 Thanks! It took us, 1.5 hrs! Usually by myself it's 3 hours! :D

  • i love your video..one of the top 3 crochet braids tutorial.

  • @summerjewel63 Aww. Thanks!

  • I liked the selection of hair. It came out real pretty.

  • @04682563 Thanks, Freetress is awesome! LOL!

  • OMgosh! Filling in the spaces, great idea!! I'll try that next week when I do mine again. Was the activator the stuff you used to keep your braids beneath moistened? Great job! Thanks for posting!

  • @Lipsosof33 You're welcomed! Thanks for watching! :D

  • Love your video.

  • @MyDrea13 Thanks for watching! Appreciate it! :D

  • Looks like you braid after looping the hair through with the latch hook. Good idea, because the last time I did it myself, the hair just wouldn't stay in it kept coming loose. You and your daughter did an excellent job. It looks great!!! I just gotta try it again. thanks for the video.

  • @nonijuicing Thanks so much for watching! Appreciate your comment. It's loop then take 2 tiny pieces and tie in a knot.

  • I need advice the hair supplier was out of deep twist so I have 5 bags of it and 3 of the gogo. How to mix them? Should I do gogo in the front and deep in the back or what?

  • @TheBronzePearl Hi and thanks for for watching. It's really up to you. The curl patterns are alike so where you put them doesn't really matter, at least for me. I personally use 1 and 1/2-3/4 of pack. I've not used 2 full packs yet. Hope it's helpful and I hope you share yours when you do it. Happy New Year. :D

  • @2luvlikidz Thanks! Yours turned out well and I will share mine too!

  • @TheBronzePearl Aww thanks so much! Remember to keep it well moisturized. Like a spray on moisturizer and spray your cornrows well, weekly so they don't get dry and brittle. Hugz! :)

  • @TheBronzePearl Happy New Year to you too!

  • How long do the crochet braids last

  • @KaeBailey223 Hi, and sorry for the late response. Mine lasts 6 wks to 2 mos. Thanks for watching and Happy New Year.

  • Beautiful! ! ! ! ! !

  • i did that too to close my gaps....it just crossed my mind as i was doing the hair. Lovely idea...

  • @candikking Yes, true, I was so glad cuz that helped make it look full and that's why I used less than 2 packs always. Thanks for watching.

  • thanks for this idea about crocheting some hair into the cornrows to secure them. I sewed mine down. Never thought of that.

  • @candikking Thanks for watching. Yes, it makes the take down really easy. It's never come loose either. :)

  • That is so nice to see your daughter helping out...A future Cosmetologist in the making...lol
