  • lol at the "water proof" label on the shoes

  • thanks!

  • Good video! Way better than anything GarbageVillage puts out.

  • Awesome! Thank you for taking the time and explaining the steps. I bought different stuff for different shops and the cleats I got were universal so I was like why the heck is this not working.. but it's because it had an extra piece not needed for SPD shoes. Thank you so much! Way better than any other videos I found.

  • very helpful, thanks for the video

  • I'm a newbie so very grateful for your helpful advice

  • Thanks for all the detail!

  • well now I know what SPD means tks to the comments!

  • Can someone please tell me how much better clipless pedals are compared to your standard flat pedals, I average 15mph on literally every ride, would my average mph improve with clipless pedals?

  • @Keyboardbeatz Yes, as it clips on to the pedal. More power is transfer as ur ball of the foot is giving the most energy transferr.

  • @Keyboardbeatz Short answer - yes. You can pull up as well as push down

  • Thank you so much for posting this video - so helpful!

  • I like to use mtb shoes for my road bike because can easy to walk, but mtb shoes only has 2 holes, won't work for road bike pedals, any idea? thx

  • @laafunamasaya fit mtb pedals on a road bike, thats what most touring bikes use

  • @laafunamasaya Use mtb pedals then.

  • THANK YOU!!

  • Very informative THANKS! Anti-seize compounds is better than grease. After your ride check the tightness of the screws again.

  • @toenail37 yes until the screw easily work themselves loose and you can't unclip your shoes!!

  • They only use those little cleats for mountain bikes. The bigger SPD-SL road cleats are better for road riders as they are more comfortable with a wider base giving a more natural feel.

  • thank you sooooooooo much for posting this video! Now I know what to do :)

  • fantastic, thanks for taking the time to go through the different types of shoe I, got my cleats today and am waiting for my shoes super excited.

  • Thanks for this great video now I can finally use my clip-less pedals :D

  • A cleat fitting by an experienced professional at a local bike shop is your best option for installing any cleat. If a cleat is installed incorrectly it can cause knee pain or even knee damage! An experienced professional will guarantee optimum performance, positioning, and comfort.

  • Many thanks nice vid.

  • How about SPD-SL cleats?

  • @coffeethen

Uses a 3 bolt pattern, has a bigger cleat that is not recessed so it is harder to walk in.

  • thank you so much!! i was freaking out here.... u saved the day!!

  • You CAN use SPD cleats on a 3 bolt only shoe. Wellgo makes an adaptor to convert a road shoe to two bolt SPD. The Wellgo RC-8 cleat adaptor.

  • Great video. It was a great help, good, clear explanations. Thanks for taking the time.

  • Just bought cycling shoes for the first time and had no idea how to install the cleats. Great video. Thanks for your time to show.

  • girls on bikes are HOT !! and you gota love her "SUPER CUTE" shoe at 1:40---hehe

  • Thanks for this generous, useful, well-made video.

  • thanks for the video!!!

  • The info in this is wrong. SPD means Shimano Pedal Dynamics. There are two types, MTB and road. Both are SPDs. The two bolt and three bolt systems are both SPD.

  • i had no idea that they had keen bike shoes!

  • great video!

  • Thak you for your time: excellent lesson!

  • Thanks for the video I just instaled my cleats thanks to it.

  • too bad you did not comment on the direction of the cleat - which will not function properly if not installed correctly. A real highlight that would be important to novices wanting direction for this task.

  • thx good video

  • It's hard to imagine a more comprehensive treatment of the subject - thanks for taking the time to do it!

  • good instructions i was getting nervous that it would be harder..

  • Fantastic instructions! Thank you!!

  • Awesome! Thanks for the well thought out video.
