  • u wonder how diesel engines keep cool then, because they dont have spark plugs...

  • Actually you are wrong. A spark plug's role in heat dissipation of the motor is infintisimal, most plugs are buried in the head with no exposure 2 air for cooling. Its heat dissipation rate is to cool itself, NOT the motor. It gets heat from conducting electricity and from combustion. If you want to know facts about this don't take advice from a punk behind the auto part counter or a hi school whizkid, contact the engineers at one of the spark plug companies or a race team turning chief.

  • Looks like an air cooled motor to me... haha... Now who's the idiot?

  • HE LOOKS LIKE THE ADAMS FAMILY IN THAT BLUE COAT

  • His voice is SOOO Boring!

  • you guys were so sad back then

  • Do u know there r hot and cold spark plugs and how ther work?

They DO transfer heat to the cylinder head.

research it, and realize you have no idea what you r talking about.

  • Hii my name is jon and im going to show you what iv got under this trench coat today.

  • another top notch video from expert village...

  • whaaat? so after the big bang of the fuel-air mixture, the heat takes one look at the "block" (cylinder head) and thinks 'naahhh... id rather go through the spark plug tbh'

  • what's up doc hehehe

  • t trop con

  • LMFAO ...

  • someone failed auto class.

  • Transfer heat through the spark plug into the engine block? WHAT? WHAT THE FUCK.

For a start, the spark plugs do one function, and that is ignition.

The CYLINDER HEAD [Not fucking block you know nothing cunt] is what disappates heat. And this engine is NOT water or coolant cooled, it is air cooled, hence why it has cooling fins. THAT is what cools the engine [or coolant/water if its a water cooled engine] The block has nothing to do with it, that makes it own friction heat. IDIOTVILLAGE!!!!

  • Spark plugs aren't designed with heat transfer in mind. The cooloing system, whether it is water or air fins serves that purpose.

  • He's crazy. Anyone watching this would think that heat transfer from the combustion chamber to the head and block is dependant on the spark plug. Whoever heard of such a thing?

  • if this guy is a teacher, some students will put the spark plugs into hit ass kakak...idiot

  • Hi my name is Jon and Im going to show you how to hide cocaine in your engine.

  • your dumb the heat is mostly caused by friction on the piston rubbing the cylinder walls along with the explosion you dick fuck

  • I can kind of understand what he means by the spark plug removing heat from the cylinder in an air cooled motor. But to not look like an idiot (he does in his other videos) he should have gone over water jackets in vehicle motors.

  • to someone who doesnt understand engines, this video would make absolutely no sense! mechanics would roll their eyes at this guy.

  • Hi my name is Mike Pierre and this is my Brother Jon...

  • I wonder who is more lame.. The guy making the video..or the dumb asses taking the time to watch it and complain about the person in the video...

Anyways.. thinks for the videos.. I needed a quick reminder before I work on this engine..

  • could he be any more boring?

why do kids hate school, people like this guy.....

  • Yea you don't want your pistons masking into your spark plus, that could be scary. you could as well shoot your spark plus clear out your engine and through your hood, like bullets.

  • this dude is stoned

  • isn't the transfer of heat what the coolant is for? This dude is an idiot

  • @SonOfRDGear but this is an aircooled engine

  • wtf is he talking about lol he had the first 30sec right then it all went down hill lol

  • wtf transfer heat

    hes macking this shit up

  • nah...his just menataly retarded:Pi bet he thinks he can fly..cant wait 2 se him try:D of a skyscraper...:D

  • @njipods wrong again!?! ;]

Part of your spark plug’s responsibilities,in addition to firing a spark, is to remove heat from the combustion chamber. This is accomplished by channeling the heat through the insulator material and metal housing. From there, the heat is transferred to the cylinder head where the engine cooling system can go to work. A spark plug’s heat range is its ability to dissipate heat. The “colder” the plug, the more heat it can channel out of the combustion chamber.

    google it

  • @durox yes it dose transfer heat. but thats not what its for!

its like saying the metal case off a pc is for removing heat

it dose remove heat by dissipating it through its chassis too the air but its not made off metal for that reason its made off metal to stop RF,and static and because metal is strong and easy to make case out off. the fans and heat sinks are for removing the heat!

  • @njipods He's right, and you're right. The sparkplug warms up also, and if it doesn't remove it's heat, it breaks.

  • @huuko07 yes thats true but its not its job! its jobs to make sparks thats why its called a spark plug

its like saying computers job is to surf the internet and heat the room. sure my pc heats my room but thats not why i built it!

  • @njipods Bad example: Yes but think why pc has also coolant? It would break if it doesn't have it. Same thing with the spark plug! It would heat up if it hadn't technic for removing the heat. It would break also if it removes heat too much, then it would be covered with coal.. And guess what? It would break again.

  • @durox no.Thats not a primary function.

  • Too long of a pplug

  • yeah i think so

  • why does my car. a 99 crown victoria folds the little hook of the spark plug. i cant find out why is doing that. ??? Only when I go pedal to the metal...

  • sounds like your piston is hitting you plug.

  • Do you have false arms?

  • false arms? lol do you speak real english? haha
