I tried a Demo and they really stunk at PVP. Once your root wore off, Melee types would just bounce around you and you couldn't get a spell off. Your "minion" has all the punch of a wet paper bag. If you enjoy PVP then go Necro or even Priest or Shaman are better than these things.

Good Mele Class: Conqueror, it is my opinion.

Good Ranger class: Demonoligst also the best DPS class, if you know how to play :D

Best overall melee class I would say at the moment is conqueror. Both in terms of dps, and survivability.

Best fun for me is assassin. Patch 1.05 will revamp all class abilities, so after that it may change.

I am about to reach 50 ranger and create my 2nd lvl 50, What would you say is more powerful Demo or Necro? I am kinda noob so what is the best noob orientated of the two

All quests except the ones I hated. And clearing villas every time they and available.

Since I did it solo, didn't do any group quests except for Tiordelbach. Which an 80 hox helped with. He pretty much killed the entire dungeon at once. Sort of sick. Might have a vid of that somewhere.

Hardly ever use it. More as an afterthought really. Just remember that if you are going to pull a ton of mobs, shove a root on a minion out of the way. So you can execute and use it for a heal if needed.

hmm sounds nice gonna try using pacts when i do aoe, what spells do u cast ? and are u havoc or conflag?

let them burn, and the two aoes' fire and elec.

also be prepared to kite a little if needed. conflag spec. - also handy to heal up via executing minions. Detonate of course, which is a ton of fun.

7-10 chain kills? are u kidding me. im lvl 70 demo and my personal record is 6 chain i think. how do u stay alive for so long that u can aoe down 10 mobs?

The game is incredible. It doesn't have the stability WoW has because WoW has been out longer. Really the only thing hurting AoC is a somewhat weak population, but hopefully it will grow. However, one thing I hate about AoC is it doesn't have as large a game world as WoW, with many areas being highly linear.

Sure. Other than doing quests, it's really just clearing villas, which (at lower levels) can get you a full level in about 1.5 hours. Easy as a demo with the aoe thing. 7-10 chain kills are common.

Way more fun than ToS. And definitely way more skill required to play. ToS being basically a 3-button borefest.

Eiglophian -> Ymirs pass. And clear all 5 villas.

Hang in there, once you start maxing storm chains and planar shift etc, things get a lot better in pvp. Prior to that you are basically food for every little stealth rat and their granny.
