  • this is light division, marine buglers had g10 bugles you can clearly hear this is played by silver bugles, on top of all that the marines were/never capable of this sort of profesionalism.

  • Wellbran, the bugle was first used by the Light Infantry troops of the British Army in the 1700's. The "Retreat cal, as this is, was used to call everyone to retreat into the base before posting the night guard. This was played at 6.00 p.m. The last post was played at 10.00 pm to stand the camp down for the night, except the night sentries. The R.N / Marines adopted the bugle much later, to replace the more cumbersome drum.

  • My husband had Sunset played at his Fathers funeral. He was proud of his Father and his time in the 2nd Btn Rifle Brigade.

    Although this brings back sad memories thanks for posting this.
