so my dad caught a pike and it was a weedless hook he was using and the pike bit into it and when we got the pike to the boat the hook was in below the eye so he gets the hook out but it loses an eye then he revives it and it jets off before we decide what to do with it :\
To see more videos go to the opadry channel, I have posted many new UW clips. I did this clip a couple years ago but did not post it. Be happy to answer any questions. I just posted a UW figure 8 with a camera rolling in the boat as well.
I bought 3 Train Wrecks from Cabelas and tried them this very same way and the piece that goes up to where the spinners are snapped right off and when i brought them in much to my surprise half the lure was missing. I will be sending them back to Cabelas for a refund. I have trolled with similar lures before and never had this trouble.
I have to agree with tnargskoorb-my supervisor at work gave me 2 trainwrecks because I told him that I wanted some and I didn't have any.I live in a town that has a musky river not too far away so I went to try them out and the same thing happened -the arm broke off and the spinners were gone.I found out later that my supervisor only paid half price for them.I think this Schwartz guy is really ripping us off with this phony video.
The funny [and sad] part was that my brother who has special needs was fishing with me at the time and thought a big musky had eaten half the lure. His eyes were as big as saucers when we reeled the lure in so i didnt have the heart to tell him what had actually happened. He caught a big pike about a month ago and i told him it was a Musky. I love him so much i just want him to be happy.
It is always soooo frustrating to finally get a musky follow but no strike. For some reason the musky are interested enough to follow to lure but just not enough to bite. This video proves maybe they are smarter than we thought. Look at how he tests out the lure by bumping it first!
i would say it´s because of the lure, i mean when the water is clear enough and the musky has enough time to look at the lure it´s predictable that he won´t take such an ugly and totaly not like a fish/mouse/whatever looking lure... but just when the water is clear...
@mikebordon it happened to me a few days ago with a pike, it slapped the swimbait and then it stayed still while it watched the bait swim away, i guess he didnt want the lure in his territory
Looks like a Pike to me

This speaks volumes about the intelligence of this fish, evolution in action folks.

In other words, if you feel a tap while trolling your spinnerbaits, speed up your lure to trigger a strike. That fish is testing the bait.

OMG! There's my proof at 00:36 & 00:52. I always said they sometimes slap the lure with the side of their head.

That lure sucks! What are you supposed to reach in and grab the muskie? He didn't even take a run at it.
