I'm glad eric's parents can attain some sort of normalcy after the heartache. I personally believe Eric was a victim, but I also think he was a psychopath. Rage, anger & self loathing consumed him. He clearly states that it was his decision for NBK & no one was to blame. He only changes his deposition the closer NBK got as justification. A man has 2 reason for doing something: a good reason and the real reason. Eric's good reason was blaming the bullying, his real reason was deep within himself.

Eric and Dylan were both victims just like everyone else who died in that massacre. They were severely bullied and greatly misunderstood. I'm glad eric's parents can attain some sort of normalcy after the heartache. I personally believe Eric was a victim, but I also think he was a psychopath. Rage, anger & self loathing consumed him. He clearly states that it was his decision for NBK & no one was to blame. He only changes his deposition the closer NBK got as justification. A man has 2 reason for doing something: a good reason and the real reason. Eric's good reason was blaming the bullying, his real reason was deep within himself.

Eric and Dylan were both victims just like everyone else who died in that massacre. They were severely bullied and greatly misunderstood. Whoever disagrees with me obviously have" perfect little lives" and have had it very easy in life, got everything handed to them, never had to fight their own battles and never had to deal with the daily struggles of reality. I do feel for the victims who have lost their lives too (especially the very brave teacher), but I also feel for Eric and Dylan.

@KISSMEMYFOOL69 Actually, if you've read Columbine by Dave Cullen, or probably any other book on the subject, you'd know that they didn't do this because of bullying. They simply hated the world and the people in it, they had a fascination with violence and guns, and Eric was a psychopath (& Dylan had depression). It was a very screwed up and hopeless situation, and I'm sure the boys not being popular didn't help, but bullying was not what caused it. (By the way I don't mean this in a rude tone)

@spng157 I hav'nt read Dave Cullen's book. I will give it a chance though. I trust Brooks Brown's book. He knew Eric and Dylan well and he said they were bullied on a daily basis. They hated the world because of how they got treated. A person can only take so much until they crack. Eric and Dylan had fragile self esteem. Bullying played a big part in what they did. They wanted to kill jocks. I appriciate that your not being rude because most people are.
