  • How curious! I had no idea that the 64DD code did anything but make a few actors change places. Did you notice anything else that seemed off?

  • @HighPriestFuneral - Yes I did, back market alley crashes at night, also crashes occur in Zelda's courtyard, last time it did, it brought up a lot of random text as if the game was pulling random text table string ID's that were wrong(possible the text entirely gets replaced) Actors change colour in the Market and some go into default hierarchy no animation state. There is more to test.

  • @ZethN64 I take it we haven't had any luck in finding what this code changes, have we? If we can find the RAM that it's pulling all of these oddities from couldn't we manipulate it to make it more malleable and usable to a "second quest" so to say?

  • @TheSnakez9 - No that place is not a secret, its in the shadow temple normally, the invisible redead however is not.

  • Looks like the re-deads might have originally been on coffin's and that animation looks like they awake when u get close.

  • Ah I see is it an unused enemy function/actor, but the coffin mesh and lid actor were removed due to this being removed. But when you put the code on, it just floats out cause there's no lid. Strangely, maybe both redeads and gidbos did this at times, but only gidbos seemed realistic. But do you know why they leave these on the cartridge ROM?

  • @ColorBrothers5 - This wasn't removed, this was set for use in URA, but since there is no coffin actor to accompany the redead, it follows the normal function of floating out like the gibdo.

  • 0:22 made me think.Why don't you put Rock's Feather in the game? It could be a limited moon jump like that one.

  • @omarcortes88 Actually, when they were originally making the game, Link was already able to jump. I don't recall why they took it out though.

  • You should run through the whole game with lens of truth on, just to see what things you might find.

  • Now you just need to find a way to play the music only when the Invisible ReDead attacks you.

    Imagine, you're walking quietly, trying to see if any threats is here, then you get jumped on by a ReDead and the fight music plays.

    Best way to shit bricks.

  • I haven't seen the invisible redeads before, but, I have seen the levitation function being used for the gibdos that you find in the coffins at the Bottom of the Well. I dunno

  • @HylianSaiyan - Yes, the thing is, the coffins are part of the well's map mesh, only the lids are separate actors, with this Redead doing the levitation that the Gibdo's do, its safe to assume, they planned on adding an actor for a full coffin or something similar for the redead of this room.

  • @ZethN64 Did you stumble across this, or did you have to transfer the code (sorry I'm still learning programming atm) from the Gibdo to the Redead? They're pretty much the same, except for the mummy like appearance of course?

  • judging from the animation, it may have came the same way the mummys did with the coffins

  • And I thought ReDeads were the creepiest thing in the Zelda series. I was wrong. This variety makes my pants feel much less dry then before.

  • @DylanMachinima - Yes, when I first ventured into the room, I didn't see the redead and I was like wth, then I started getting attacked by nothing, it was then I realized, the redead was actually invisible. I killed it and it stayed invisible.

  • @rpmmelby - Save states, just incase of a crash, with the 64DD code active, the game does crash due to certain things so its just me being cautious.

    I swear if i used the lens of truth, saw that redead sitting there, i would have shat my self as a kid.

  • Gah, Redeads are annoying enough; typically when they are in hordes. I couldn't imagine having to fight any of them while they were invisible. Of course, the sun song makes them easy; but you don't get that luxury in Majora's Mask.

    Speaking of which, does using the Sun song while they are invisible reveal them? Or do they just become stunned while staying invisible?
