I like your layout. A point I think you should consider, is running your trains at prototypical speeds. Everything is so fast you can seen anything. Model trains look much more real at slower speeds.
@beerdispensing the name of the passenger train is VRE (Virginia Railway Express), the engine and the passenger cars are both available directly from MTH or you can order them from an authorized dealer
