I still remember paying a shit load of money for crappy VHS tapes of the worst quality, just so I could see ECW. I used to get them shipped across the pond to the UK every week. Watching this really hits me. It makes me realize how great wrestling used to be. How the passion and emotion is gone today. Hardworking guys like Dreamer, Funker, Rock, HBK, Austin and Bret are now gone full time. To be replaced by the bosses son in law, old has beens like Hogan and the Nasty Boys and guys that look more like gay porn stars than wrestlers (Drew McIntyre and Legacy). Wrestling is dead today. Granted, I caught ECW a little late after it's demise. I only took interest in it after what I saw from guys like the Dudleys and RVD in that dreadful "Alliance angle" so I got my first VHS tape which was Guilty as Charged 2001 and long story short it blew away anything I had seen from the WWE or WCW at that point. After that I salvaged what DVD's and videos I could but the market for them fell down.

But now my dads got a credit card and now I can just order that stuff on amazon :)

I then had to go and find it on America One TV in late 1996 when it started coming on Saturday nights at 6pm, and then finally settled into a groove on the Prime Sports Networks Friday nights at midnight. I couldn't even bring myself to keep up with Raw that much during this time period, yet I tracked down ECW with every change.

And the one thing I think I have over many here is that when ECW was holding shows in the Elk's lodge in Queens NY when my and my friends were their early in the day waiting for tickets we were offered to help to set up the ring and in return we got in for free alomg with free shirts and best of all I got to meet most of these guys in person RVD Sabu New Jack Sandman Dreamer etc. At 16 at the time I felt like a kid at toy store will always cherish my memories with those guys they were good ppl
