  • i'd rather have a trailer

  • Whats the reason for the double clutching?

  • Very smooth shifting, good job.

  • There is not trailer, so you are right. ...no tpv

  • The truck is a flatdeck truck with a tandem axle and a thirty foot deck. It hauls steel and steel products.

  • @ktmken950 I sell propane and propane accesories

  • you have no tpv in that truck

  • he does shift smooth. i shifted my columbia like this for years. smooth. then they got me in a new prostar and i cant get that thing shifting consistanly smooth for the life of me.

  • What are you hauling?

  • lol the gauge system reminds of when i was ini high school.. we had a bus that had the same gauge system and it was powered by mercedes...

  • I know absolutely nothing about trucking or even driving a manual... this looks like either a lot of fun or an absolute nightmare to drive lol

  • @WAKEUPshift111 Lol it just all depends on what are hauling, and how long your trailer is etc... What's a nightmare for me is 13-18 speeds I hate splitting gears! Or driving down steep grades without a jake brake. You better have the right gear. I just drive part time though I have done construction, security, corrections, semi, personal trainer etc... Still don't know what I want to do with my life lol

  • I love how you bump up the accelerator to maintain shifting rpm...nice video.

  • nice vid thx

  • coast start of in 3rd

  • British Columbia

    Okanagan Valley

  • what state were you driving in it seemed like a nice place and day out

  • Cassens Car Hauler ?

  • Sterlings are awesome trucks... WAY OVER-RATED

  • Is this truck a Freghtlines M2???

  • I like it. Great job.

  • Great video. Not being a truck driver, I do have one question, why do you have to double clutch to change gears?

  • @wx5nco u don't have to im a trucker and i dont i just use the clutch 1ns and thas all

like no bote double clutch just if u are a begginer. so yeah

  • Great vid... just starting at a highway dept..understand alot more with this thanks

  • @ussenterp65

You can in fact drive a truck at age 18+ You just can't go out of state until you turn 21, at least such is the law in Washington state, and apparently were this InaboxPayne is located as well.

  • this is true it has not changed i got my class A CDL at 18 in minesota and its a nation wide thing that you canot cross state lines in a cmv untill age 21

  • nice toy

  • The engine is a MBE 900 (mercedes) 300 horsepower. Not much power by todays

    standards.

The load I am hauling is about 20 or 25 thousand pounds.

  • @ktmken950 Not much power compared to a Cat of the same size and hp rating either, lol.

  • You drive really smooth! Good job.

What engine has the truck, and how much load were you hauling?

  • i drove a 10 speed sterling too

  • Excellent video! Been over 3 years since I drove a truck after getting my license at 19, here's to hoping someone can hire me at 23. Great refresher buddy!

  • Nope, Spartan Metal Processing truck.

    Same orange color though

  • Home Depot truck?

  • Daimler bought the Sterling from Ford in 1997. The Sterling was Fords heavy duty hyway truck.

They closed the Canadian Sterling plant in 2009 and they closed the American Sterling plant in 2010.

  • @ktmken950 like they say..the economy is doing GREAT..ha.

  • do u know if sterling is a just fords hiway truck?
