  • Wow! Sick job! 21-27 marvel gi joe the snake eyes background issues so awsum. F those aberrations of movie versions. This is gi joe not with the rock as roadblock. really? Or that p o s that was out a few years ago. It was silent with no words just frames because snake eyes doesn't talk. It's from his point of view. It changed the way i looked at graphics. I started graphic design due to the marvel comics versions of gi joe esp. # 21 its the wallpaper on my phone LoLz Cheers to u agai

  • ???? It's supposed to be a silent issue.

  • Thanks for animating this! I haven't read this issue in what seems like forever! Best issue ever and you did this justice for sure!

  • Pretty Good, I would really like to find this book. Or better yet "The Best of Snake-Eyes" compilation book.

Scarlett + Snake Eyes 4-LIFE, YO JOE!!!

  • This comic is the BEST G.I. Joe comic... hell no, the best action comic EVER MADE!!!

  • Snake-eyes and Scarlett forever.

  • Ahhhhhherrrrrrrgggg, too much pan!

  • This was a lot of fun to watch.

  • I have this one-NOT Mint.

  • Mate you have done justice here kudo's. The new movie was graphically ok but they pissed on the continuity and roadblock doesnt speak in rythme and bazooka got killed.Plus scarlet isnt with snake eyes any more in that bogus movie by fucktard Warren Ellis. How he got to write the movie only Allah know's.Snake eyes inspired me to do martial arts

  • Really great

  • If Hollywood would have done a shot for shot live action movie of Silent Interlude GI Joe would have been a great film. Sadly it was not to be.

I just found my ragged copy today. I had no idea it was so influential - I just remember 'reading' it over and over as a kid. Thanks for doing this. Cool idea.

  • Who knows? Someday, someone may yet do it!

  • Great work! I really like your interpretation. (I'm the guy with the "other" version). I especially love how some scenes are completely changed with the sound effects and pan, especially Snake Eyes dropping out of the plane. There's a feeling of weightlessness when you combine the camera angle, the airplane sound and the wind noise. From one fan to another, this is a very nice take on an absolute classic piece of graphic literature. Well done.

  • SNAKEEYES AND SCARLETT FOREVER

  • That was incredible! If only the movie and the animated series were like this! Larry Hama rules!

    Snake Eyes and Scarlett 4ever!

  • Larry Hama's art is incredible!

  • Epic!

  • very nice work!

  • Dood, that was GREAT... more please!!!

  • Very well done. One of my favorite comics of all time. GI Joe 21 (Marvel).

  • Great job! looking forward to more like this.

  • totally cool thanks for the uploading the vid

  • Thank you. Made me remember how fun and action-ey the comic book was at times

  • awesome work u have here, looking forward to more of these!

check out my gi joe cobra de aco review!

  • Very awesome video! the sound effects were very good. not overdone or anything.

  • That used to be my favorite comic book, thank you for putting it here.

I remember reading it over and over.

  • I love this video! GREAT JOB ALL AROUND!!!! THANK YOU. But this comic book is absolutely amazing: the art of Larry Hama is superb, great skills, he really understood anatomy and movie like action drawings....too bad he didn't do more int the GIJOE series....EXCELLENT, CLASSIC COMIC BOOK...STANDS OUT!

  • @chinocracy, I don't think this has been attempted with figures but that sure would be awesome.

  • Has anyone yet tried to redo this issue of GI Joe using action figures? That would be interesting.

  • much better than that other seilent interlude that around here 500 starts

  • @sakuralioness, Thanks much appreciated.

  • I think "the other" video is better than this. The music fits better and it is a little confusing with all the close up. Another thing is that this episode is meant to be a "silent interlude" >>> No sound effects.

Apart from that I appreciate anybody who makes a video of a great comic so keep up the good work (both of you)

  • I like the idea of animating this, and the sound was nicely done. If I may suggest, though, that you refrain from making "every" panel pan through, as it starts to feel a bit off. Let the camera sit on a spot for a few seconds now and then for dramatic pause.

I animate comic books as well--check out my channel for my work with Transformers. If you want to work more with this, and require any tips, just let me know

  • @Pepsimus, Thanks for the kind words. You are probably right about the panning I just didn't think of it at the time. Perhaps I'll revisit this sometime in the future. I checked out your work, really great stuff. Really ambitious work, I don't think I have the patience for that much detail. Thanks for the offer too.
