I know what you said but I got an iBook exactly like yours (I mean dead alike, nothing is different) and all I did was trade parts that I didn't have to pay for for it. The guy thought it was broken but it needed a new install of Tiger and now it's on Leopard. So technically, I'm rocking a free iBook G4 lol. Good video though!

I personally would recommend that you get a MacBook. I really did love my iBook, but my MacBook blows it out of the water. The PowerPC Processors are pretty outdated now, and with dual intel processors and enough RAM, you will have a perfect laptop. I have a 2.1GHz MacBook with 4GB of RAM and I could not be happier. Not to mention you can't run Snow Leopard on the iBook.

I have the new Macbook PRO 17" and it's just outstanding, though I really kinda liked and or wish they kept their signature color white instead of the aluminum gray. 500GB 720RPM HDD, 8GB Ram, 3.06 CPU, 96/9800 GT Nvidia GPU. Awesome portable computer.

this video is almost two years old now. i have since sold the ibook, and i now have a 2.1GHz macbook. i got it in all of the original packaging, 2 years of extra applecare, 160gb hdd, 4gb RAM and a superdrive for $500. so i would say, you paid too much.

I personally love eBay. I buy and sell lots of stuff on there. every Mac that I have owned so far have all been from eBay, and I have not had a single bad experience yet. Just make sure to check their feedback, make sure they aren't just stock photos of the item, and take your time with your purchase. Most of the time I wait quite some time before I come across a great deal.
