The band has no since of dynamics. They play too loud during the entire song. The drummer doesn't know what his cymbals are for. She deserved better. She's the bomb. They suck.
Drummer needs to practice dynamics, vocals are happening and instruments should drop! Gotta hear the vocals, kick ass on the solos..... RIP Baby!!!!!!!!
It makes you proud to be an American, to have this kind of talent and from this country. What an amazing human being. I never got to see her live but her videos and music live on for future generations.
when i was a child you could go to the juke joint with gramma or who ever was there.. it wast fighting or shooting.. just a bunch of drunk old people.. and If someone did have a gun they had enough respect not to use it if kids were there.. i remember this song really getting everyone up... my grandpa would start dancing and my gramma would say.. SIT DOWN FIGHTS... Thats his nick name.. RIP.. mama toomie.. and daddy goomie... love lisa
We lost Mike and Koko in the same month! They are both in heavin jamming together......can you picture it....Koko holding down the low while Mike hitting the high notes...what a jam! Love you Koko!
true blues vocally and visually. wish I couild have seen her back in the days. I did play her blues song wang dang on my show. I have a live cd of hers and boy I am glad I got it.
Dan Aykroyd's "House of Blues" radio show reran a 2007 program featuring Koko this week, and she seemed like a genuinely sweet and talented lady. I remember a few years back she appeared as a cartoon/critter version of herself on the PBS kid's show "Arthur",which will continue to be seen by successive generations of young people...
It doesn't get any better than Koko Taylor! We have lost a national treasure and the Blues genre has lost its remaining star from its golden age. Watching this performance explains how all the British musicians were strongly influenced.
Sadly missed already ! Now Koko headlines with Muddy, Willy Dixon, Brownie Mcgee and the rest in Blues Heaven. Give Stevie Ray a big play one, as well as Mighty Joe Young !!!!
Not silenced, to be remembered as one of the greats of all time. Look at this beautiful woman putting her all into her song at over 60!!!! To be Celebrated!!!
I was at this show-and while she seemed quite frail she kicked total ass! We sat behind her van as she entered the Sheraton Hotel for the night. The world is gonna miss her great talent.
Considering that she will be 73 in September, she has a lot more energy than some of my friends-who are taking a dirt nap. Rock on Grammy-Award-Winner Queen of the Blues KOKO!!!! LOL
sadly missed by real fans
