Romo is not overhyped. He is the best QB that has ever played for the Cowboys. Everybody praises Aikman who really isn't even half as good as Romo. Cabo did not lose the game for the cowboys the giants just stepped it up in the second half and our offense went backwards. the line didn't block for romo recievers weren't catching perfectly thrown balls on third down the defense let giants score before the half in under 1 minute. those were the reasons the cowboys lost not cabo romo played good but you need a team effort like the giants put out to win that didn't happen that day.

His stats in his first 3 years was high was because he was not a rookie. He was a backup and get to practice with the team, study films, gameplays, and etc....He also has Owens. If you want to compare stats, Tom Brady doesn't have his stat in Brady's first 3 starting years, I'm sure Brady was then was 10x better than Romo is now.

The only reason Romo appears to be a great QB is because of those 5 massive boulders in front of him they call and O-Line. On any other team he'd be just an average QB among the likes of Garrard, Cambell, & Trend Edwards. Romo is not overhyped. He is the best QB that has ever played for the Cowboys. Everybody praises Aikman who really isn't even half as good as Romo. Sure, he got 3 super bowls, but imagine if Romo was in his position. The best RB to ever play the game, a great receiver in Irvin, one of the biggest O-lines in the history of the NFL, and a really really good D. I believe Brady and Manning would but I don't think Romo would in a 100yrs. He simply doesn't have that burning desire, after not making the playoffs last year he talked about how he still has a great life. For him it's not about the game but what the game will bring him, that's why Cabo was more important than getting ready for the biggest game of his life.

Cabo did not lose the game for the cowboys the giants just stepped it up in the second half and our offense went backwards. the line didn't block for romo recievers weren't catching perfectly thrown balls on third down the defense let giants score before the half in under 1 minute. those were the reasons the cowboys lost not cabo romo played good but you need a team effort like the giants put out to win that didn't happen that day.

... when romo wins a playoff game then you can valdate your supporting of him. until then, everything we say about him is valid. the guy is not a pressure player. he may fill the stat sheet at times but when a guy can't perform in pressure situations they aint shit in history. main example:nba:tracy mcgrady. he accomplished a lot of shit. but because he can't lead his team to a 2nd round series he is bashed as a loser. so why not bash romo? he's a good qb not a "great" one period.

tracy mcgrady plays terrific in the playoffs but guess what he can't do it alone and most of the time his team underachieve the same with Romo. The QB always takes way more blame and way to much credit for winning a game. the cowboys defense is inconsistent and has cost the cowboys big more than tony romo's errant passes. if it was just Romo then hey they can just stick anyone else in there and we can get over the hump but it's not the entire team underachieves in month of December.

this is a fact. if it were kobe or lebron leading the rockets instead of t-mac, they would have won a 1st round series with the team ages ago. that is why t-mac is no longer on the level of kobe/lebron. he doesn't have the killer instinct. now lets look at romo's situation. if drew brees or tom brady were manning that qb spot, the cowboys win a playoff game guaranteed. that is why romo is not on the level of any of those 2. yet analysts put him on that level all the time... thats what i dont get

really it's a fact? why because you say so? tracy plays great his team doesn't that's the difference. and tony's situation was peyton manning in the same situation he was in the first part of his career? Peyton didn't win a playoff game till he got his first MVP award in 2003 it took him 5 year to get his first playoff win. was it peyton fault? yes it was but it was not all his. Peyton had no defense to rely on and when they finally did hey they won a superbowl.

tracy was not up to and still isn't up to the "pressure packed playoff situational play". thats obvious. he has never won a playoff series and has been to 3 game 7's in the 1st round. plug kobe in there and they win all 3. that is why mac is not on kobe's level. now lets look at romo. i watched the game last night and its plays like the lob play he pulled that make me not trust that this guy is a pressure player. in the playoffs that would have been picked off hence he would have lost again.

romo is a good one. but it doesn't take a genius to realise that he is not in the league of drew brees, tom brady or peyton manning. ya brees also hasn't won a playoff game or many playoff games (one or the other i don't remember) but he makes decisions that the bradys and mannings do. romo makes decisions out there that guys like joe flacco and other 2nd year qb's don't make... that speaks volumes. he has been anointed an all league qb. fact is he is not. at all.

dude i'm a huge colts fan and you are dead wrong peyton was always great except his 1st year but you could see he was a monster in the making. in no way shape or form does i see that killer instinct in romo. it took the colts time to get the team around manning better but peyton was always a beast. sorry my friend romo just isnt all that good bro

yea he played well but he didn't have the supporting cast to put him over the top until that superbowl run that's the same problem with romo. he is statistically better than troy aikman but troy aikman had better coaching one of the best running backs of all time a better o-line and a number one type ranked defense. now the colts didn't win a playoff game for the first few years of peyton's career but like you said not because he sucked but cuz of his supporting cast same thing with romo.

I know Ben Roethlisberger on the stat sheet isn't the greatest quarterback in the world, but when you can lead your team to two super bowl wins in such a short time in the league, you gotta' be pretty damn good. Tony Romo doesn't even have a win in the playoffs does he? Big Ben steps up in the big games, if Romo wants to get people off his back, he better starts doing the same.

I'm a Cowboy fan, but I feel that Romo has maxed out. He wont get any better. All decent QB,s can have one good year. Once the Defensive coordinators get a hold of what you have, you have to adjust. Romo got a pass because people thought he could create. Kitna could do better and be more consistent. We got D. We got a running game. We just don't have a leader and our coach is weak. Bring in Shanahan. I bet he will replace Romo. Witten and Bennett? We got the pieces we just need facilitators...

Garret isn't the one making Romo pull the trigger and throw interceptions in the other teams red zone. Garrett could be more creative but at the end of the day Romo is the one making the last decision. The Defense isn't the problem. When you have a Qb that can't convert 1st downs and the Defense is out there for 10 minutes, that takes a toll. Romo is a sucker for love, pussy whipped QB. Everybody knows this. T.O. may have dropped a few passes in Dallas, but the facts are there; in his 3 seasons in Dallas he was the best receiver in the NFL. Nobody scored more TD's in that 3 year stint...you may not like him and fair enough, but to say you wont miss the most explosive player on offense is silly.
Dallas will miss Owens like every other team has. They still have a great running game which will win them football games, but they will miss Owens, fact. Roy Williams is no T.O.

I have always thought Romo was overhyped & overrated! People fed into it without realizing that he's yet to REALLY prove himself! You can't say the man doesn't choke when it counts cause he definitely does that! I'm in no way a Romo fan...he's not as big of a deal as people have tried to make him out to be! We'll see if he can grow as a player and overcome this thing but I'm doubtful!

romo is the equivalent of tracy mcgrady in the nba. actually, check that. even mcgrady can preform somewhat under pressure vs. good teams. but ya both are good talents but aren't really born leaders and can't win a playoff series (in romo's case a playoff game).
