  • why is the earphone jack at the wrong side?

  • See waterfi.com, they already make waterproof ipods...

  • @IsTheFish or liquipel dot com

  • @gCaptainDOTcom It seems to me that nano-technology is involved in this coating?

  • @laurensj89 No. It's not that complicated.

  • Imagine super water cooling for PC's. Just have the whole computer in a tub of water.

  • My name's John Konrad aswell!!! :D

Except those are my first 2 names

  • woah.... aquaman's like, Fuck Yes! I can finally get an Iphone!!

cameras have moving parts(lens), so it is hard to coat it with this polymer material in a way that it would still be completely waterproof

  • what about the audio plug? I mean it should be conducting electricity, and it obviously does since we can hear music. what if the water gets there?

  • Just someone capitalizing on the use of "Corrosion X". Check it out___"Corrosion X"

Do not pay these Greed driven individuals to do something that you can do yourself for just a 16.00$ bottle of "Corrosion X" these guys are actually asking 4 times the amount for what you can pay to just do it yourself. Test Me Out!!!!!!!

  • @Snephrew I heard thats oil based for servos, not like this. Cant put it on screens

  • Fake - 2:27 the time is not moving. either that or its just the volume is all the way up.

  • @Zodiack65 its volume buddy

  • noooo not the dell lol but he never put his iphone in the water

  • 2:00

  • I've seen this before with clothing, I remember this!

  • Water proof 3 fans, and a small generator then connect them together and now you can dive underwater

  • ok so you can take some of this coating, put it on a digital camera, and make it waterproof? That way you can take underwater shots. I don't know why it wouldn't work. Sounds cool!!

  • i want to this to my macbook... plz... HOW DO I GET THIS.

  • The song is "One Thing Leads to Another" by The Fixx.

  • ANYONE KNOW THE SONG PLAYED AT THE END???

    digging that funky beat

  • is this the nano tech water proofing?

  • The coating is applied using vapor deposition like almost any other molecular coating. The tricky part is getting it inside of the case which is probably the proprietary part. That and how they make the coating. The only way to scratch the coating off would be to take the phone apart and etch the circuit board. I'm sure this will be very attractive to the military.

  • I don't think the coating could be comprimised that easily by lets say having it in your pocket and a key touches the screen....it creates a vacuum and essentially seals the phone like if it were in an air-tight bag...I would get it for accidental splashes and if I were on the phone in the rain. Even though it appears to work I would not buy it to use my ipone as an underwater camera....too risky

  • real.. just coast to much

  • yea i dont know. it is suspicious because when you go on the official website it looks really dodgy. they dont give any info on the creators and the guys who own he company. there is no personal detail or any way of contacting them. also you have to pay by credit card before sending them whatever device you want to be waterproof, and it is clearly indicated on every single page that the "waterproof experience" varies for each person and might not work at all. money not given back if doesnt work

  • I presume that since it is not visible, this waterproof coating being used is extremely thin. Wouldn't this mean that say, if your iPod was in your pocket, even a coin slightly scratching it would breach the seal and cause water to be allowed in? I'm guessing that this is true and that it shouldn't be viewed as a means of waterproofing items for submersed use, but to act as an accidental splash protector. Still... pretty damn neat.

  • @skeletalwreck i suppose if you were to have a coin on the inside of your ipod it would damage it... dont forget that electronics are only encased in a "body' the body in no way affects the actual use of the product

  • at 0:38 what does he say and what does it mean

  • Ignominious:shameful: involving a total loss of dignity and self-respect, and making somebody or something appear shamefully weak and ineffective

    hehehehe, there ya go

  • what hell how is that possible.

  • "when he dropped off,and started sleeping under water,my balls dropped with him!";~^

  • If this waterproof golden shellback coating is applied to, say, a mobile phone and completely covers it to make it waterproof, surely that would include it's charging terminal (which would now be coated in a non-conducting layer, rendering it useless) meaning that you would be unable to plug it into its charger. Unfortunately, when I visited thier website I couldn't find a comment posting facility to ask them if there's a way around this problem.

  • WOW!

  • Egy nagy szar volt ez a demonstráció!Semmit nem bizonyított be nekem!NEM VOLT MEGGYŐZŐ!

    Mi a xar volt ez?

  • That is freakin' AMAZING!!

  • i TOTally wanna surf the web under water now. Hopefully that cheesy AT&T mobile internet doesnt cut off at the bottom of the ocean or my pool ahahha

  • awe....some

    what about iphones?

  • going to venture a guess that...well if they show an ipod touch underwater, than an iphone, following the same school of thought...will probably survive.

  • i cant belive it

  • :\ Well I dunno.

It has more ingredients than just polymer.

  • could it coat a psp and also could it coat headphones to listen underwater?if anyone is gonna do that =D and i tihnk its great im gonna get it for at elast 6 things

  • It would be great, cept I checked and it costs 120 dollars for my iPod Touch to be coated, yeah right

  • Do you realise how amazing this is and how much it costs for them to put this on in a vacuum? assclown.

  • cost 120$ for iphone

  • I'm just wondering if it has anything that might be hazardous to, say, a baby if they put it in their mouth.

  • WOW! That's amazing, absolutely amazing. Whe can i start standing in line to get my laptop, phone and other small electronics golden-shellbacked!

  • i am SO getting this for my laptop.

  • looks pretty darn cool to me, all potential health hazards aside.

  • if affects health, i like even more! we DO need it! plus bad health effects rule!

good lord people, the first thing you think is... it's poisonous? paranoid much?

  • People should always be afraid of things like that, especially when chemicals are in play. Nobody thought of lead being dangerous for hundreds of years until finally somebody proved it. Or asbestos. Things along that line. It's a legitimate scar.

  • yes, and you're not eating this (lead) or breathing this (asbestos). if you are scared of every single new thing that comes out, then yes, it's a legitimate scare. but a waterproof coating on a cellphone does NOT strike me as high on the list of things to fear. i wouldn't stick my head into the machine that does it, but i have NO FEAR of the resulting waterproof device. but that's just cause i'm cool. now go back to hiding under your bed.

  • It's not that. It's the chemical makeup of it. Paint was safe, right? Until they found lead in it caused cancer. Nobody was afraid until it caused a problem and by then things were pretty fucked up. I'm not saying I'm not paranoid, but I am saying I would like to know what's in something before it comes in contact with my body.

  • ... only if you ATE the lead paint. As i said, by your logic you are deathly afraid of ANYTHING that is new, as it may cause a deadly risk. I'm amazed you have a phone at all, as you undoubted risk brain cancer from using one. The fabric dyes in your clothing may be contaminating you right now! Your car is a death-trap too! i'm just saying this seems like a cool, useful process, and jumping straight to "it may be deadly" is a pretty big, unnecessarily alarmist leap.

  • Oh shit, Burger Kings new Steakhouse burger is new, better not eat it because it might give me cancer. lol, yeah right

  • Actually... THAT one might be true. :)

  • Any substance consumed in large quantites is dangerous and, besides, whan leaded paint was first brought out safety and toxicity tests weren't as sophisiticated or stringent as they are today so you can't really compare the two can you...

  • I think these guys are bullshiting, they're just the competition trying to smear their rival's image by portraying it as a health risk. Corporate propaganda, if you will.

  • Nope... it's true. :)

  • Actually, the Romans 2000 years ago knew that Asbestos was deadly after they realised their slaves were dying after they handled it.

  • yeah i wonder about stuff other then water?

  • is it safe ? and what about other liquids like Pepsi for example ?

  • does it affecs health?

if so , we do not need it!

  • WTH Amazi

  • I want to see the safety data on this. Was it tested to be safe? Yes it keeps things waterproof. Will my testicles fall off after 3 yrs of putting my hands all over it and my mouth right next to it?

If it's safe, I love it. If not, keep it away from me and kids. But me first.
