This was the best team ever. They could take on showtime lakers, the great celtic teams of the 80s and even the '96 Bulls. That team did not only play with great talent, they played with unbelievable heart.
I can remember falling asleep right before game 5 started. Then waking up to Queen singing we are the champions.....First thought was "Dad did you tape the game?!?"

2004 Detroit Pistons is one of the most underrated NBA champs, I don't know why. I know They weren't the 90's bulls, but they were an incredible, everyone was doing his things for the team and the group: Chauncey was leading the team, Rip hamilton was scoring, tayshaun prince was scoring some good points and was a beast defending, and both wallace were clearly dominating the paint. For me, one of the best teams ever! and my favourite team

This team was STACKED! People forget that beyond their solid starting five, they had guys like Corliss WIlliamson (2002 Sixth Man of the Year), Mehmet Okur and more defense from Lindsey Hunter and Elden Campbell. I miss the times when these guys would GO TO WORK.

With the exception of Sheed, they were a very humble group, none were superstars, like kobe or lebron, but together they become one of the greatest groups of guys, watching them play was awesome for the few years they played together. This team was STACKED! People forget that beyond their solid starting five, they had guys like Corliss WIlliamson (2002 Sixth Man of the Year), Mehmet Okur and more defense from Lindsey Hunter and Elden Campbell. I miss the times when these guys would GO TO WORK.

With the exception of Sheed, they were a very humble group, none were superstars, like kobe or lebron, but together they become one of the greatest groups of guys, watching them play was awesome for the few years they played together. Not hating on sheed he was one of my favorites to watch but every team needs a badboy. Pistons 4 life.

They had the two best post defenders in the league in their starting 5. Hustle and grit paid off for the only championship team that had no clear cut "superstar". The MVP could've gone to anyone of those guys.

If u are looking for the meaning of "teamwork" , i would immediately go to the Pistons 2004. SUCH A GREAT TEAM. not too many big named players but managed to win many games. This team was so good that they didn't even put any effort in any of their regular season games and you saw it. I saw it against Lebron James and his cavs team. 20 point lead in the 4th quarter, they pass the ball to Ben Wallace who SHOOTS A JUMP SHOT at free throw line range. AND HE MAKES IT.
