One of the best songs from the Duran Duran album "Astronaut". Andy is a great guitarist. It' s a pity he is no longer in the band. i wish he could rejoin the band !

I sure hope so. RCM really sucks the big one. Reportage, well, I am really looking forward to it as a sequel to the Astronaut album, which minus one or two tracks (the title track as one), was magnificent and second only to Rio. Which reminds me, they should have released "Nice" an outstanding track which longer Andy riffs, would easily have sold millions and in my mind, would have been a Number #1 Pop and Dance track.

My gut feeling is Andy will be back once all RCM activities are done. The rest of the guys didn't rule out hooking up with Andy again sometime down the road in an interview I read. Reportage is still their and Simon and Nick both said that they most likely will release it eventually. At that same time, I think Andy may come back.

According to Duran Duran's official site, Andy quit because he didn't agree that they should work with Timberland and Justin Timberlake. He didn't want to change their sound. On the website, Simon, John,Nick and Roger said that they came to an unmendable rift with Andy because he just stopped showing up for appearances and gigs but never officially said that he quit the band.

The book was really enjoyable. Loved reading about what things were like behind the scenes from the earliest days. He definitely goes into how much drinking and drugs were a problem, especially for him and most of all for John. He goes into personality clashes too, in the band and with managers or others. He clearly holds back on some info, likely not to burn his bridges. Hope he reunites with them, but I'm not putting money on it. Looking fwd to new D2 album too.

Agree - the song played live is really funky and danceable, Andy's guitar work is fascinating! God I will miss him, the Duran live shows will never be the same without this kick-ass guitarist.
