I too ride a motorcycle and nearly got killed last summer by an idiot who crossed the center line of the road to jump directly in front of me. I was very lucky to walk away without damage! On the road, you are exposed to all the idiots' stupidity. In the air, you are exposed only to your own...
Ouch... that looks like it hurt. This is part of the reason my curiosity for para has stayed curiosity. At least on a motorcycle I can control almost everything, including the ability to minimize damage and pain from a crash. But being up in the air, you've gotta flap your arms mightily fast to beat gravity, or the wind which a small bit of ripstop nylon doesn't have much of a chance against.
when atterrisssage, I realized too late that I was not in the direction of the wind, I gave the engine, but to hold a turn too hard right. the rate of rise is too low, I hit the tree ... broken ankle, and paramotor off ... for the record it was my 13th hour flight!
@theppgcowboy He didn't feel the ground, he turned the engine off and instead of letting it off he turned it back on, if it weren't the tree he would've been ok !

Should have bought a Flat top. You would still be flying and that tree would have become a nice bed of mulch for your roses.
