In my opinion, Hardcore is the heaviest genre. Bands like The Acacia Strain and Your Demise influence people to kick the fuck out of each other at shows. If you would analyse some of these bands music you will notice it isn't always full of technical rythems and technical use of notes.

But saying it's not bullshit because it's barely playable is a dumb reason. Some of this riff just need good motoric skills like masturbating with 27 beats per second while tapping random places of your body on your body at 5 taps per second while windmill headbanging at the same time.

I haven't played long enough to master good motoric skills. Hence it takes some years to learn. The playing itself is motoric, for these guitarists all these riffs are in their motoric memory. Explains why they can play it. If you write it yourself it's easier to play because you already know the motorical movements.

But you have the bands where they actually don't know shit about music and write what sounds kinda evil, which generaly is a chromatic pattern. Sorry, but that final one wasn't heavy, it was fast but definitely not heavy. All it was was a stream of notes and (from the sounds of it), a prepubescent kid being raped with a knife.

What I see as heavy is whether a song is musically heavy. It has to have a very fast tempo, a great build-up and breakdown, deep and defined bass, every strike of the drums has to have impact as does every strum of the guitar with distortion kept to a minimum.
