These are great videos - but I try to stay consistent on tightening the brackets with the lug wrench once everything is snug and finger tight. "taking up the slack" and then tightening means that each bracket won't be tightening evenly. I would tighten around with 1/2 turn consistently regardless of slack or resistance.
