@gtdrummerdude well, im not one to talk, but my 97 maxima on street tires ( shittiy driving it will run mid 13s when i drive better) pulled a best et last week of 14.0 @ 103, a 05 gt with intake and exhaust was running 14.2s... and i have smoked 4.6 gts on the highway, stock , not even a race, with some bolt ons, then its closer..s still sad when any gt v8 gets beat by a 4dr grocery getter..
@turbo96max if you have a 97 maxima running a 14 flat you should be praised with the amount of work you have done to it. The mustang in this video has at best only pulled a 15.0 not sure of the trap speed. A stock 05 GT will do 13's stock. its proven and known. Im not a fan boy I love everything, but your 97 max is not running a 14.0 with out alot of work done to it. If you say its stock or just has exhaust and intake your still wrong.
@rebeldriver not praised, not alot of work at all. when i got the car the engine was shot, so i put in a 3.5, with intake, and full exhaust, untuned. any bolt on 3.5 max 4th or 5th gen manual tranny and a decent driver will pull low - mid 13s. just saying, its pretty easy. with slicks they have been seen touch 12s. I know gts are quick, but for a v8 wihout a change in gears, its too close for comfort i think
@turbo96max ya but if you get into the swaping of motors and all that you can say the same for any stang on the road. I just built a BPT swaped mazda 323 se. Havnt ran the car yet but it should pull 11's. swaping motors into diff cars changes everything.
@rebeldriver i know, thats why i will say 2002-2003 maxima so its not cosidered a swap. theres a local guy ran 12.58 na in his 03 , granted he has all the boltons available, which imo id go boost and run 11s instead. but low 13s for those years is not really a wow or hard. i mean, if there was a fwd v8 that i could swap then i would. the 3.5 just makes sense if youre gong to replace an engine in a older max .
@turbo96max I'm assuming your Maxima is the turbo one in your videos? 103 mph is awfully fast for an n/a '97 Max but sounds about right for a lightly boosted one.

Thats not an 05 maxima, more like a 02 to 03. Thats the 5.5 gen. I dont think it is stick and yea iam not surprised with the results. Maxima will win everytime!
@02max245 it could be... i took a guess at the year cause i was not really sure. Just knew it had the 3.5 and was stock.... Both cars were autos. The third gear in teh maxima is a big fail. drops way out of its power band.
@rebeldriver the gears r nice and close in the mustang giving it the lead until the mustang dropped into 4th. the maximas 4spd auto at the time is terrible lol but one it picks up some revs in a given gear its ok.
