  • Kya baat Hai, Bade Ghulam Ali is the greatest, he's produced some of the best singers like Ghulam Ali and M.Rafi

  • first of all godbless you man for putting these extra ordinary work of art and artist in process. ANd second--I agree with Hoisom--that "ka karoo sajani"-is based on raag KALINGRA--although its a south indian raag--but its genere is still debated by the experts-whether its in baravi sister or not!

  • luv the sound from 3:08-4:20! OMG where can i get the full version!???

  • WoW

    AskTamkin

    London

  • This is great music, can you get his CD in US. This is the first time I heard him.

  • stripedchair...u have no clue what life is about...if this kind of music gives u a headache then u should drown urself...this kind of music is the base of all kinds of music my friend.....

  • this guy is mohammed rafi's ustaad

  • Unbelievable moments!! Legend live in action..perhaps the greatest ever in this rich panorama of our country's cultural canvas. Thanks a lot for sharing this!!

Just one thing..I think "KA KAROO SAJANI" is based on raga KALINGRA and not BHAIRAVI.

  • Bade Ghulam ali is a legend, people like him will never work this earth again. Classical music is diying out since after the likes of Ustad nusrat fateh ali khan passed away. Todays generation has no appreciation for classical music but choose to listen to music which is out of tone

  • fantastic

  • its wicked bro, keep it up....

  • @stripedchair

Then u should not listen to it...and why did u watch the video when u don't like it??...mean while those who have good taste and understanding will enjoy Indian classical music...specially when its a Ustad like Bade Ghulam Ali Khan Sahab...

  • Striped Chair, you have a clue where you come from your up bringing ? This is India, Value it if you are Indian. This is who we are, we are not what you oggle at your Shilpa Shetty - Main ayee hoon UP Bihar Lootney.. This music has given India respect. Foreigners dont visit our country to earn money. They come to India to research our Culture, WHICH NO OTHER NATION has been able to survive after british colonialism. And you freaking Idiot, I listen to death metal bands like Dimmu Borgir.

  • stripchair you are a veritable chodu....

  • Ek bat batao, tum kya bewakoof gadhe ko gali deto ho kya. Iska taste yehi hai UP Bihar lootne type music sunane ka.Let him have his stuff.Abhi kuch log aise bhi great honge jo kahenge I don't listen since he is muslim.Still others will talk his caste etc. Do you see what I want to stress. Just ignore them. Gaali de ke zabaan mat kharab karo.Ustad to great hain hi. Thanks

  • tum such kete ho,lekin dekho inki ankho me

kitna zeher he,phir bhi isko jane do gargi96

    bhai.........rgds jr

  • Dear I donot know who you are but today i am feeling the most glorious day of my life seeing Ustad Ji's video. I also belong to a musical family of Punjab Gharana. MY grand father name was Ustad Malang Ali Pakhawaji, and Ustad Fayyaz Hussain of Hyderabad. I have only three words for you "You are great".

  • i am ecstatic to find ustadji's music on utube. i have dozens of his cd's and old vinyls. the greatest

gift and joy for me is that i knew him him persoanlly and heard him munawar bhai sing from a couple of feet away countless times. it feels surreal to me looking

    back at it now.

he turly is the greatest indian classical singer in 500 hundred years.

i will be honored to send audios of his music to any one who wants them.

  • could you please E-Mail me some thing of this great man MALAYSIAN

  • yes, but i will need your email address for that. will try to send it as soon as i get the time.

  • Could you please send me his music ....regrads

  • sure....but i will need your email add. i have

not succeeded in sending any of his pieces so

far becasue they're all larger files than i can send...even though i have gmail. i will

learn how to compress to mp3 and send. so...

pls give me a bit of time. i wish that i was able to upload them on utube. someday, i will find the time to learn and do it!

  • reading your earlier post could you copy me what ever you have of this genius please i will be more than happy to pay for postage anywere in the world thank you

I am in UK and it is not easy to find such music here.

    Thanks

  • How lucky that you were able to hear this great ustad live. I feel the same way about hearing Ustad Bismillah Khan, Ustad Vilayat Khan, and Ustad Ali Akbar Khan. I have a couple of his vinyls on EMI, but am delighted to hear more here.

  • I was actually searching the web to purchase a DVD of Ustadji, if available.

This is simply a gem and brings such a great joy to all the lover's of Ustad Bade Ghulam Ali's melodious music. My eternal thanks.

  • Un grande Maestro, artisti come lui rendono la vita più bella di quanto non sia.

  • I'm struggling to appreciate classical music & Bade Ghulam Ali Khan. Any man that is the mentor of Mohd Rafi - has infinite respect from me. I speak Hindi but I can hardly understand what he is saying. I struggle to sense the melody etc. but of course I know this is a greatness before my eyes - I just don't get it.

  • May be going to a school will help you. You are quite brave to acknowledge your ignorance. I think, thats the first step towads true greatness.

  • Greatness often escapes the eyes. Close 'em and listen! :)

  • He was true legend in Hindustani classical music. I remember him as "Bade Miyan Gulam Ali Khan Sahib".

His voice was completely "manja hua".

  • Khan Sahib was a singers singer, god bless him,

  • Thank you sooooooo much for this rare footage. Needless to say, it is absolutely mindblowing. Ustad Amir Khan Saheb also used the same cheez "Allah jane, Maula jane..." in Gujri Todi. Both of them had their distinctly unique & individual style of singing, completely immersed in pure classicism. Both, Ustad Amir Khan & Bade Ghulam Ali Khan were undoubtedly the greatest giants that strode the world of Indian classical music. How I miss their voice & music!!!
