Good landing exept of the overshoot but i´ve would have circled the airplane like a pattern instead of a rapid descent? but maybe that just me?

When I flew it, I activate the APU (Auxiliary Power Unit) and the brakes were working, I stopped on the runway.  Nice landing tough :)

But if you would have deployed the spoilers, you don't need them anyway. I managed it in my first attempt to roll to the gate... ;) Anway, nice video with the backroundmusic :D

you are the worst pilot in history. i have dome this mission many times and never crashed or went off the runway. when ATC tell u to decent to 10000 start descent slowly so u dont have to do down like mad and keep you speed at about 180/200 knots. when u are about at 1000 feel start extending the flaps try to make the touchdown at about 140/160 and use autobrakes at 4 and you should be alright

in fs 2004 you will learn to i this kind of situation you can make an s turn too extend you landing time, so you have more time to land, be more pleasant for the ears of the passengers and to keep the speed lower than a dive like this. so make a little s turn to lower the speed and with the use of spoilers and reverse trust you can make a decent landing

@wisnu1231 --Thanks man! You have to avoid 'Stalling" and keep the speed up and make a steep approach which I did as you see! I did overshoot the runway but better to do that then fall into the sea!! :-D

I just finished this mission yesterday by going to male but halfway through I ran out of battery because (i think) the battery was running on the alternator so I couldn't retract the flaps or engage the brakes

Could someone please explain to me the purpose of flairing? I'm going to give an educated guess. Is it to make a final effort to slow the plane down for landing, or to avoid damage to the front landing gear? Or is it both?

I try to land on Male but I ended up to land smooth on the sea 300 meters away from airport.

About your mission, you should use the spoiler (air-break) to slow down the jet before landing at airport, so that you coulc avoid landing beyond the runway. Also, dum fuel is an option to reduce the momentum at landing and reduce weight for longer distance.

What is your opinion?

@applesweeter --No man! I did not use the spoilers! I was afraid of falling (ditching) into the sea short of the runway! I did go off the runway as you see on the video but the mission said I succeeded so! I was going to fast with the airspeed on the decent but my method seemed to work man!

@applesweeter --Hey man! I luv flight simulator and aviation! Flight sim the next best thing the real thing! I did take flying lessons once and have flown but I am a terrified --nervous flyer!!!!!! @maxydude98 For Male, don't trust your instinct, just glide down at the recommended glide speed of 190 knots. Through experience I've realised that 190kts is about just enough to bring you to Mali with minimal spare altitude

@Ignas359 Hey the solution is to follow the engine failure checklist. He will say something like 'auto-throttle, disengaged; thrust lever, idle; APU, start; APU generator, on" the main portion you should notice is the APU. Ensure everything APU at the throttle quadrant (shift-4) & overhead board (shift-5) is set to 'on'. You should switch to a power source (overhead board) that displays you have volts remaining too. Or try landing without the PFD by lowering the gear before the systems go out :/

@Ignas359 Even after the systems go out, if you follow the checklist properly you should be able to troubleshoot the problems and everything should restart (except your engines of course)

You saw the Hudson River plane crash in January! I think they have a "Ditch" button that seals all doors and hatches so water does not come in! But some idiot opened a door on the US Airways plane.

Actually the first time I did this mission I did go to 10,000 and to Hanimaadoo. It said successful even though I over shot the runway (3)
