Roland Edirol Vision mixers and NEXO geo s12's line array and Nexo RS 15 subs connected to a dolby digital 5.1 Processor. Mate I'm not trying to be ass hole to you like you think I was. i dont know about projectors, yeah they are a lot bigger than a tv but i dont know if im getting the good enough quality as a hd tv, plus the projectors at my school are constantly under repair because something about the bulb blowing inside. i want one but i wont know how to take care of one or how to properly use on should i stick to tv's? because i also having a light on while watching tv it doesnt strain my eyes

i have a projection style sheet about 4 ft by 4ft over my window in my room ... i was thinking of putting the projector in a top cupboard thats 10 ft away and 6ft high also buying a 10 metre hdmi to connect stuff at the front of the room ... i cant ceiling mount im afraid ... this gonna be ok ?

I ordered this projector about 4 months ago and love it. This projector has a good range. In this guys video he has it at 8 feet. I have mine mounted about 14 feet from a 100" screen and it delivers a great bright picture. I have it set in the economy mode. One tip when you get yours, set the picture mode to cinema 1 , turn the auto iris on , turn the light harmonizer off. this will give you a picture that is as close to perfect as you can get.

I got my Casio XJ s-10 ultraslim projector fro 649 during black friday from bestbuy. original price 899. Specs:

2300 lumens

1600x1200 resolution

2x zoom

15"-300" screen size

lamp life in eco mode(1700 lumens):2000 hours

lamp life in bright mode (2300 lumens) 1200-1500 hours

this other zoom that makes it bigger and smaller no matter where you are, and maintains the same resolution and image.

the projector i got is only 799 now

Quick question. What do you do for your audio? This bad boy just showed up today and the one thing my research lacked was it has no built-in audio (not that I would want to use it). Do you just split the cables off into your receiver then?

The X-Box HDMI has its own splitter so that I am not worried much about.

I use optical audio from my cable box to my receiver, same with my PS3 and XBOX. I use RCA audio and component video from the Wii to the receiver which switches the Video input and sends that to the projector.

I have my PS3 and XBOX 360 connected by HDMI. The cable box is component. I also have Composite video for.... Well I don't really know why! LOL! The ceiling mount came from compusa about 4 years ago when I got my first projector. It is a Sanus VMPR1. Newegg has it for like $89. The mount is very easy to install if you know where a stud is.

I could likely mount it about 2 - 3 feet off center and still have it work by the looks of things.

If you dont want to get a cable tuner you could also use a DVD player with component out... Thats what I used for some period of time before I signed up for HD service... I would highly recommend getting HD from your provider though...

Any good place you recommend for getting extension wires? probably going to need about 10 ft or so to keep them hidden.

If you are going to mount it on the celling and have the "stuff" in the front of the room by the screen like I do you will want atleast 25' cables. 8 feet up to the ceiling 12 back to the projector and 5 for wiggle room. I got mine from mycablemart com. Cheapest and highest quality HDMI and Component cables I have been able to find.
