I played this song at my husbands funeral because he loved the bands Genisis and Yes so much and he was such a great man and intense musician. The world has lost a great talent.
I have lost my better half. I cant wait to be be with him again someday.
Genesis for me ended when And Then There Were Three concluded the progressive era of the band. The pop stuff is great but not for me. If you like Genesis Seconds Out is a great introduction to the 70's stuff - brilliant album!
man i beat all if you, im only 20 and genesis is my fav band of all time. ive been listening to them since i was 8. this song is the most beautiful love song ever!!! i hope phil will come back for one more concert before he dies.
im 15 and i love them!!!! it relly pisses me off that kids at my school class anything that was made before the 1990's as 'old' and deem it shit automatically, do u find that??or is it just my backwards friends dont understand music?? :P
ok i beat all of you lol, im 13 and i have every genesis album except for some of the peter gabriel stuff and ive seen them in concert. They have been my main influence. This is what real music is.
I'm a yougin compared to most you. His was the first concert I went to (as a solo). It wa when he made "One More Night" it was good and I'm sure you guys have stories from the seventies... LOL I"M ONLY 39!!!" Let's give these guys credit....they were gooooooood!!!!
Can't help it, I have to chime in. I applaude to people who have the balls to defend Phil. he is totally underrated. Sure he made some cheezy ballads, but check his drumming and singing for Genesis in the 70s. This guy is awesomely talented. BTW: saw them in Frankfurt almost exactly one year ago. Phil's drum sound was unbelievable, ultra hi-fi, tasteful and powerful, same as Chester who had a slightly different sound for each song (kudos also to the sound engineers!). Perfect! Love these guys!!!
Buenisimo!!! Genesis 10 puntos, las bandas nuevas 4 puntos!! sin inspiración... / Great!! Genesis 10 points, the new bands 4 points!! no Inspiration...
what a classic, will never tire of playing this tune its just as good as when they played it over 20 years ago allways brings a tear to mine and the wifes eye everytime its played.
This was my wedding song, 15 happy years ago...and last night we took our two kids, ages 12 and 9 to the concert at Giants Stadium and we all got to hear it LIVE!
great to see people younger than me who love Genesis (I'm 22) - the best music ever is being passed onto the next generation - terrific :-D

Notice, he is playing the drums.
owenschuta 4 years ago
singing and drumming is a special task indeed
but i have seen this chat doing just that ten times better than this
he must of had a hang over
tiedupsmurf 4 years ago
Is it possible that this song does not call for the type of drumming that your chap is doing? ABSOLUTELY POSSIBLE!!!
I bet phil can give "chappy" a lesson or two.
