i suggest you keep of the balcony and the couch, believe me. Most of average players see you sooner then you see them. Keep it like hanging en walking like you did in that wall dodge tip. When you stay at the same place you will be screwed. When you do that wall dodging thing. you will surprise them when to know where to watch. And more time to aim. So i got in some 2 till 3 weeks a gold dragunov when playing 1 to 2 hours a day ;)

@1amfr3e true, but let's face it, it's call of duty not the real world, and there are a bunch of different sniping styles in this game. there is the "camp sniper" witch is the one this video shows, but honestly a "camp sniper" can only commit to long range kills. in COD, to be a truly effective sniper you must learn quick scopes and no scopes, this way, you are effective at long, medium, and short range, allowing you to be more adaptable and an all around threat to anybody and every body

@el1stupido You don't need to be undetectable when sniping. If you get all your techniques down (standard sniping, quickscoping, evasion, pistol switch) all you need to be is unpredictable. ATM I will run around anywhere from close-medium to long range as I have now gotten my stuff down to the point that I can pretty much hold my own against automatic weapon users at close to medium range. I'm not that guy sitting at the back of the map in a corner with claymores everywhere and yet i do well.

I got some good practice hints!!!

1. Start Cod 4

2. Open console : ~ key (if you have a querty keybord) use the ² key (if you use a azerty keyboard)

to look wich keyboard u have look --> at the first upper key that has a letter.

3. type in console : /devmap mp_crossfire (without the " 's) the "/" is not nessecary but in-Game u need to type it or u will say the thing u typed in console.

4. put some C4 on a wall and shoot from a distance. (in console : /player_sustainammo 1 for unlimmited ammo)

Bad claymore placement. Any semi-skilled sniper could pick you out easily. That much trouble for just few lazy kills?

My tips

Perks:

Bandolier/3xNade/3xStun

Stoping power/Uav Jammer (Jammer if playing hc)

Iron lungs/extreme conditioning.

Then just run around map trying to get as much kills as u can.

After a while your accuracy has improved a lot.

Then you can decide between CQC and "camping"

At the start camping will just get you lower K:D Ratio than just quick scoping.
