  • Even today, developers want to move the graves at the VA hospital in Brentwood. These people should be protesting in Brentwood because the only indians that died for this country are buried at the VA.

  • WTF!?!??

  • I just seen a nascar ad on tv that said that a certain race track was build on an old indian burial ground, thats b/s that can get away with doing that kind of stuff.

  • thats so wrong!!!!!

  • You should have made a sign that said: Watch Poltergeist!

  • We've been told the protests happen every 1st Saturday of the month, but did not see anybody protesting on the corner of Bolsa Chica and Warner on October 3rd. Does anybody have any updates or links with more current information?

    Thanks

  • When all the trees have been cut down,

when all the animals have been hunted,

when all the waters are polluted,

when all the air is unsafe to breathe,

only then will you discover you cannot eat money.

  • Thank you for showing this. I had no Idea that , that area is a burial site. They Should Not build on it.

  • Our government can throw billions of dollars at Wall Street bankers, mortgage companies and the housing industry, but where are the authorities when it comes to stopping the crimes in Huntington Beach and Orange County. The Bolsa Chica is a historical location of global significance. Destruction of an ancestral home for a stucco home is tragic. I am glad there is a groundswell of people trying to stop this tragic destruction.

  • I hope that most people know that those highways and freeways we all love to use, run right through all sorts of old cemeteries. Some were picked up and moved, and some were simply paved over. My grandfather and other members of the Brotherhood of Carpenters made caskets for the remains of Indians, soldiers, farmers, and the unknowns along Route 50 when it was expanded in the early part of the last century. We lost several family cemeteries over the years. IS one more valuable than another?

  • Thanks for the share qualqui. I hope you, the original caretakers of this land, win yr battle.

  • I too support you my brothers and sisters. If graves a desicrated in whitemans cemetaries there is an up roar, respect indigenous burial sites too. I know your Ancestors will have thier justice on these developers.! Maybe in the language that they speak.Financually

  • if it's a real burial site they should take the developers to court if they want a better chance of preserving the land.

  • YOUR THE MAN NAUI!!

  • I second that! I pray to Tonantzin(Earth Mother)for her help for these brothers and sisters! 5 stars my friend, thanx for sharin' with me this important issue, you're are sheer brilliance!

  • iv seen cemeteries "moved" before- i dont mean to sound pessimistic but it sounds like a lost cause. They will promise to remove any remains respectfully and then offer to build u a monument somewhere obscure- Sorry God Bless though

  • have u ever seen the movie "Poltergist"..

  • bro if i were you i would have punched that guy in the face hands down....

    assyrian pride

  • victory to the people ,, stop the development

  • helll no i would not buy a house there so fucking ghost can come out at night fuck that shit hope it dont happend

  • A housing development upon an ancient village site that includes at least 174 human burials?!?? My God.. that's just shameful and very sad. =(

  • good

  • The US Government and the Colonists did enough to us for us to allow them to Fuck over my Pride and History as well!

  • Wow development in a graveyard ,people dont have any fucken respect

  • Of course people don't have any "fucken respect"---there's no sure thing! But they could have RESPECT if they wanted to. One campo santo, here in Ventura, mostly filled with Chumash & Chicanos, is under the Catholic Church's elementry school, & another, largely filled with Chicanos & Chumash, is under a, de facto, dog park (I wouldn't joke about a thing like this!). I have ancestors in both. No respect indeed, very few local indigenous, or other people express any interest in rectifying this!

  • wow, what disrespect...a dog park?

  • yeah, what disrespect, that sayin', 'the only good indian is a dead indian' and now not even in death do they respect us!=(

  • @christianz2010 Amen!!

  • okay

  • very nice.
