  • BAD. NOT METAL. ZZZ

  • \Õ/

  • i dont hear the "metal" part...

  • dude.. this is epic, just the vocals are missing to be metal.. i'd say this is a kinda more hard rock..

  • To successfully 'metallize' a song, you need METAL VOCALS too!

  • wheres the metal???, still kool version tho.

  • Music starts @ 0:27

  • Hey there people. If ya wanna hear my solo material, check it out at sutros. com/deep13. Thanks for checking this song out. I still appreciate it. Enjoy.

  • Thanks for the continuing listens! I appreciate people checking this out. Thanks.

  • So good

  • is good cover and nice

  • Katy Grunge Perry

  • this is not metal but i like it

  • @ChibinChibi I just put metal because it's heavier than just rock, and it's a generalization. That's that.

  • @ChibinChibi Thanks for listening though, very much appreciated.

  • Is amazing I LOVE THIS VERSION!

  • download! download!

  • fuck sake lad how long you need your intro for?

  • @NukeEmAllFuckaa14

    29 seconds..

  • this is good but it is Hard Rock

  • how did you manage to isolate the vocals from the rest of the song?

  • Alrighty then. Good to see people still enjoying this. Thanks! As for the "metal" comments: Yes, I'm aware it's is not an insanely heavy "metal" version. Notice in the description, it says "rock." I'm very aware of what metal is (although screamo covers of anything just annoy me) I was just being general with the title. It's a rock/metal/not-pop cover. Just thought I'd chime in on that, no big deal. I did do a genuine hard rock/metal cover of E.T, So check that out. Again, thanks viewing. Yeah.

  • @Sup3rCow1 okay, you just made an uninformed comment, screamo is not a genre moron, and it takes talent to do it properly, you have to be able to sing first

  • @gh3rulz69 Holy wow. Calm down there. Jeez, you can't go anywhere online anymore without these elitist pigs. Anyway, Screamo is a sub-genre, better? Do I have to clarify more? Yes, I know you have to have talent to do it properly. The point being is that the screamo covers of these songs are so unimaginative and never fit the song properly. And screamo's gotta be the worst version of metal there is. Not only can you not tell the singers apart, but the bands too. I'm expecting an outrage now. Go.

  • @Sup3rCow1 1. you are obviously musically illiterate

    2. screamo is not actually a genre

    3. you can tell them apart, they all have different vocal styles and sounds

    4. you can't tell different guitar, bass and drums sounds apart, then you have no right to be here.

you can always tell bands apart

  • @gh3rulz69 Wow. Not even two minutes. Comments sections just shouldn't exist. Screamo is why everyone hates metal. Metal has been grouped into skinny jeans, emo haircuts, and screaming/whining. What is screamo then? Is screamo it's own entity? Can I talk to it and tell it that it destroyed the last 5 years of rock? That music is a joke, but it's not funny. It's all opinion though.. I enjoy my metal with some diversity. I guess I'm no better by responding, but it's gotta be said.

  • @gh3rulz69 And I'm sorry, I guess "You can't tell them apart" is just my way of saying they all sound way too similar. That's that. I hate being a part of these comments section disagreements, but we all gotta say it sometime. Thanks.

  • @gh3rulz69 I should still thank you for clicking the link and listening, though. It's kinda dumb how everyone's looking down on metal, and the metal community argues within itself. We've got bands like Slipknot, Lamb of God (not the biggest fan, though) and Disturbed that can top the charts. That's pretty good.

  • @gh3rulz69 screamo is a genre buddy, go ask orchid and pg.99

  • haha love how ppl think if they add distortion to their guitar it becomes metal. Good cover though just not metal

  • good work on this, but thats not metal lol, rock is as close as you get :)

  • Google ist keine Quelle

    google is not a source

  • Google ist keine Quelle

  • almost grungey :/

  • ...This could barely be considered light rock, let alone metal. You're awful.

  • This is actually... Really good. Really Really good.

  • Alright! Thanks for all the views and comments! I actually just did another Katy Perry song, "E.T." It's on my channel if you want to give it a listen. Again, I really appreciate all of the views and comments from everybody. Music is good.

  • punk. is a very different type of music.....METAL is THA music! haha

  • amazing!! not exactly metal, but I still loved it!! GREAT JOB!!! ;D

  • I really want to download this

  • hows is this metal?

  • "And even on the day that I'm dead and buried, I'll be the one who got to bang Katy Perry..." ~Witness Recollective (Pale Kid Raps Faster (With Asthma))

  • my friends band atomfest does a really good cover of this. they have a version of it posted on their soundcloud account. everyone should check it out. im sure they would appreciate it.

  • Dude, the best metal version of Firework in You Tube! A shame the sound is a little noisy...Keep up the good work! \m/

  • pretty good

  • Deception of a Ghost does a boss cover

  • personally PelleK does a better "Metal" version of firework

  • Not bad, tho the "metal" in the title is a bit misleading. Not metal by any stretch. I still like what you did with it.

  • @ThaTzone By any stretch would mean that it's not heavier than '80's Ozzy metal? It's not really that, but that wasn't heavy at all, but still metal. It's a generalization. Heavier than just rock I guess I should've said. (ACDC is just rock to me) Either way, I'm glad you like it. Thanks!

  • Appreciating the comments! Thanks for listening. Feel free to check out my originals. I just posted a new song. Check out my channel. Enjoy.

  • I rlly didn't like it at all...

  • This is metal to you?

  • Nice job! Check my metal cover of Firework. I promise you'll dig it!

  • Dude. This is amazing. Do you have the tabs for it?

  • @TheYoungTechnique To be quick, if you tune you're guitar to D-flat (Or C-Sharp) I'm sure you can figure it out. I never did actually tab it out...amybe I could though.

  • @Sup3rCow1 I had a feeling it was D flat. I'll try C sharp too. I think you should tab it out because I figured out some of the chords by ear but I'd like to know what they are in a different tuning. If it's not too much trouble, I'd love to see the tabs for this song so I can be sure I'm playing the right stuff. Thanks man and keep playing guitar you rock.

  • @TheYoungTechnique To be quick, if you tune you're guitar to D-flat (Or C-Sharp) I'm sure you can figure it out. I never did actually tab it out...maybe I could though.

  • this aint metal ..

  • Nice!

  • I actually prefer this to the original

  • @Mrtitchx everyone does

  • I actually prefer this to the original

  • This sounds like something Kelly Clarkson would do. Fuck I'd love to her Kelly sing this song to this instrumental backing.

  • this song kicks ass 5/5 job well done a lot of my friends have your copy on their IPODS at work lol

  • Your music actually goes with the song, I love it :)

  • 5/5 Nice^^

  • Katy is HOT!

  • Yeah, no I love doing covers personally. And I have no problem keeping the same feel and genre, but you gotta change it up enough for it to be interesting. If it was a different singer it would fit perfectly, but since its the same singer, in needs to be a little more different. Again, this is just my experience and my tastes in originality. Still, really love the drums, especially in the chorus.

  • The instrument quality ain't so great. Drums are catchy. Not enough different from the original to be anything special. Still good effort.

  • @MeanBlueHippo Thanks for the comment. As far as the music not being very different: I did that on purpose. I wanted to maintain the song's original integrity, instead of turning into something that makes no sense, like death metal or whatever. The lyrics actually still WORK with this version, but they're, of course, too "poppy" to ever make sense in a rediculously heavy version. I just figured giving it a rock "edge" would be a good listen. Again, I appreciated the comment. Thanks!

  • @Sup3rCow1 I liked it too, but I don't agree with some of the chords. They just don't sound right.

The boom boom boom part works great, though. IMO.

  • @Sup3rCow1 I like the way u take a comment sir! I for one thought it was perfect.

  • @Sup3rCow1 This was exactly what i was looking for! i hate when people do remixes with death metalesque riffs or whatever, this is just right :)

  • @Sup3rCow1 then say "rock version"

  • @TheEpicBurp Ok then - "Rocktel?" "Meck?" Is it really that big of a deal? I mean, "Rock" makes me think of a pop-rock cover, which this is not...Although Hard rock may have worked as well...I don't know. I guess I just didn't put much effort into the title. But hey, thanks for the listen.

  • @Sup3rCow1

I don't know, sir. The cover of Teenage Dream did what you were afriad of, and it is very effective.

What you feared became the genius that made it so great.
