@LateBlt can you tell me were to get a working copy of quest for glory 1 VGA. I have one but ti glitched out at yordiks maze and i cant get past it please respond
QfG5 lets you heal in battle, but it is so abusive. You can easily get a huge stack of potions and be practically invincible (except maybe during the final battle).
Even though you can fight this early, I'm not sure if you *should* - it might be best to max stats first before doing the hardest fight in the game.
Escape from the pizza battle? If so, you could start running and pop a few pills before stopping to fight again.
There's only emphasis on combat if you're a fighter, as it should be.
Hello! Mr.Hero LateBlt if you have not watched Miss Resulka's 2year anniwersary video please be so kind to watch it your name is under that video. Thank you very much!^_^
I never really thought about the healing part. It is kind of weird that among all the spells available only the paladin actually has a heal. But I guess with all the potions and pills around the game never really needed a heal spell. Capturing the Pizza Elemental and then beating the game with a full score also unlocks the "Battle Mode", which adds a few additional features for combat. Such as spawning any monster at will, or turning off random monster encounters entirely.
I disagree with the the core idea for "letting adventure games be adventure games and RPGs be RPGs." The Quest for Glory series is an excellent blend of these two genres. Genre blending in and of itself is not a bad thing, if it is done well. If people don't enjoy it, then all they have to do is play a dedicated adventure or roleplaying game. I suppose my argument is that people should enjoy games for their own virtues, and simply not play them if they don't enjoy them.
The developers probably intended you to go after the pizza elemental after you had pretty much maxed out your character, but I agree, the fight is pretty insane.
(1 of 2) I couldn't agree more with you that we should let adventure games be adventure games and RPGs be RPGs. However, if you want to beat it for completeness sake, then install the free software "Cheat Engine", attach it to this game, scan the memory for the hero's current health integer value (make sure it's less than full health), then when you have found a bunch of memory locations with it, lose some health and REFINE the scan to see which ones now have the new value, keep doing this...
(2 of 2) ...until you end up with only one or two offsets or so. Now you've found the exact location that the player's current health is stored. Next step? Freeze those offsets (by saving the offsets and then hitting the Freeze function). This makes you invincible and you will be able to pummel the elemental so that you can show off the rest of the game while carrying around a pizza elemental in your inventory. I hear it gives some amusing conversations.
I never really fought the pizza elemental either. But read somewhere it is better to leave your shield in the chest at the inn while fighting the pizza elemental.
And Latebit if you want to see what it looks like to defeat the pizza elemental you should check out Neo TifasRevenge Bonus the Pizza Elemental file
I sometimes think the same thing but then again it's the reason why some people like to play games on hard mode or 1 shot kill mode it gives people a sense of accomplishment.... And to admit you the truth I like a good challenge but i love the story of games more but if there is no story then i appreciate the music or game style. It's how I am, I just enjoy the process....
Well, if you are strong enough to beat the pizza elemental you probably will never come into a situation which would require some complete healing, but nevertheless, it seems that this is not really worth it.
But to beat this really strong enemies gives you a good reason to continiue playing a game that you like, so I can understand why they implement such things.
Plenty of people have to deal with the consequences of a cheese-heavy diet causing their arteries to clog, but I never really expected for a person, or in this case, a hero, to be contributing to a pizza elemental's cholesterol & blood pressure problems.
It's too bad that you don't enjoy fighting a whole lot in QfG. I see the series as a very well constructed hybrid and always had a good time with the RPG-elements as well as the adventure parts. What I admired most was that puzzles are rarely abstract compared to most Sierra games.
yeah, don't do combos, focus completely on dodging and do single hit stabs, not super hard, it just takes awhile beacuse you need to stand back to refill your stamna
Oddly enough, it reminds me a bit of "Mike Tyson's Punch-Out!!" You have the make exactly the right moves in response to your enemy to avoid taking damage, or else you end up laid out on the mat by Soda Popinski wondering why your trainer is telling you to join the Nintendo Fun Club.
Someday, LateBlt, when you are but an old man, you can gather your grandchildren around your rocking chair and regale the experiences about fighting Pizza Elementals. You can assure them it's something that you've done to assist the younger generations.
It stinks that this is the end. I was hoping for Paladin closure with dry commentary. Ohhhhhh well.
Hope you're well and having fun in your endeavors, sir.

Inside Pizza Hut,
the rollers will cut
the boss fight
that some will call epic,
but most will just hate.
Now heroes and furries,
awaiting the big cheese.
The showdown is named:
The Pizza Rain.

I'm surprised that with the Pizza Elemental being able to talk, the other elementals, at least in this version of the game, don't talk as well.

You don't really save the city by tricking the Pizza Elemental because it wouldn't have found it anyway.
