Does this amp sound good with pedals like distortion or overdrive. ?

hey when you put it on more drive should there be alot of distortion when not playing. like when you turn drive to like 10 and volume to 3 or so theres just a ton of static. could it be my guitar or line cuz when i unplug the guitar cord the sound goes away. its my first amp so im not sure if it should do that. i also bought it used from a friend.

@H1shman What kind of guitar are you using as this could be the trouble. If your guitar has humbuckers, then it shouldn't be an aggressive fuzz from it. But say you are using a telecaster or stratocaster with single coils, then it will hum and buzz quite a lot, especially if you are near the amp. Hope this helps (:

This amp is good for recording and Practicing but its not very good for distortion

ive got a silver version of it. i thinks it very loud and good for hall gigs, however i would recommend get a distrotion pedal on it to make it sound better for metal.

I use it with a jazz guitar with humbuckers and it's very clean sounding. Useless for distortion.

i agree...I have the fm100head wich is the same thing,I use it with an old 1960 4x12 marshall cab.The distortion is useless just like u said but the clean channel is great,it can handle every,i mean EVERY pedal you wanna throw into it,from the boss ds1 to my russian big muff to the phase 90.PErfect toy for giggin kids that can't afford a tube amp.Built like a tank and lots of volume with a decent cabinet.Got mine new for 165pounds.Couldn t ask more.

very close on the solo......use just your fingers and make sure you pay closer attention to the hammer on's and pull off's. Referring to the solo for "Next to be with you" by Mr. Big. Keep Rockin tho!
