The only similarities in Barren Cross and Maiden are the voice and they are both metal bands. I love BC (always have), but Maiden are much more talented musicians than most people can ever dream of being.

Just like you, Mr. tourniqueBrokenCh, I am entitled to my opinion (and my 'anal-ization'). But after hearing this jingle a few more times in the last couple of weeks, I must admit that it is a very polished and well-done tune. On another note, I hope that I was not giving the impression that by downplaying this song, I was downplaying Jesus Christ as well. Sounds to me like a bad version of a David Coverdale take, mixed with an even worse array of 'piped-in' KISS background vocals. Yeah...real original. Thanks to artists like Barren Cross, I found true redemption (and sheer delight) in the likes of Led Zeppelin, oldschool Metallica, and of course, the one-and-only Iron Maiden. So, I guess my discovery of this so-so rock band was for not. Still, those days of long ago are a joy to re-examine again. And, at one time, I was a big fan of theirs.

It so funny that only Christian metal bands get compared with the kings of rock and metal, or don't get the recognition they deserve because of their lyrics. You wont hear people saying that Iron Maiden has a bad singer, that Iced Earth is generic or a carbon copy of heavy metal.

BC is the best!! I saw them 15 times..I was like a free ROADIE..I use to help set up there stages and equipment. They knew me by name after the first couple times!!
