War is Peace, and we go to war for oil,so forget climate change and go green for economic health.
So don't buy one until you think it's worth it, but there are plenty of people now who do want something that's electric. There is a cult of former EV owners that wish they never had to give them up, and that was 70's tech. Sooner or later electric cars will be affordable and convenient. All I'm saying is lets make that car before China. Sure the Volt sucks, I've owned several cars that had smaller engines then the generator has on those things. The cost of oil is killing us.
China is already ahead of us in "green' manufacturing the gap will only get wider.
If there is a market for anything the factories that build them will be powered by Chinese sweat. The corporations can have a bigger profit margin in china and they dont care who they hurt as long as money is made.

Yep Faux news and the conservative machine doesn't bother to actually learn about things. There is a La Nina effect going on this year. Effectively causing cooling this winter. Just a small scale example of how a little thing in a small area of the world can make very dramatic effects.
As for changing the name. Well I never called it Global Warming but got and used the name Climate Change from research done in the 50's. They also used the name GW but said it was more accurate to use CC.

The record snowfalls and rainfalls are precisely because of global warming. Hot air can hold more moisture, and it does. When the tempurature drops, more snow falls because the hotter atmosphere has more moisture stored in it. DUH! This is evidence of global warming that the ignorant right-wing spin is turning into disproof. Please do some research on the droughts, starvations, diseases, wars and human refuge problems that would occur if the earth does indeed warm. We can get off most fossil fuels within 20-30 years if we put a concerted effort into solar, wind, fuel cells, electric cars, algae biofuels, and new nuclear technologies.
We also need a new national smart power grid to move electricity.
We can use a carbon tax on fossil fuels to pay for it, and it'll provide millions of JOBS that can't be exported.
Europe & China are ALREADY doing this and America will lose out in future green energy technologies, if we don't.
We owe it to our grandchildren.

Some new fuel cells & wind are ALREADY competitive. Solar will be economically competitive within 5 years. However, we need to build a SMART power grid to get wind power from Midwest farms to the cities, and so we can put solar panels on our roofs and sell unused power back to the grid.
New algae biofuels can suck up CO2 coming out of fossil fuel plants & I just read about a new nanotechnology battery made from PAPER.

CO2 levels are 37% above the highest levels for 650,000 years.
Dissolved CO2 makes acid.
Ocean pH has already dropped from 8.2 to 8.1 and H+ ion is up over 25%
In 25 years CO2 will reach 450ppm which most oceanographers warn will interfere with growth of calcium carbonate forming plankton and corals.

Research results, published in the March 5 edition of the journal Science, show that the permafrost under the East Siberian Arctic Shelf, long thought to be an impermeable barrier sealing in methane, is perforated and is starting to leak large amounts of methane into the atmosphere. Release of even a fraction of the methane stored in the shelf could trigger abrupt climate warming.

when it gets warmer its proof for climate change, when it gets colder its proof for climate change, and when the temperature doesnt change overall (like the last 10 years) at apparently is proof for climate change too.

@myrelative oddly enough i live up here in Canada and over the last 3 years winters have been geting slightly warmer each year!
maybe it IS a conincerdence,but somehow i really dont think so...
just remember when a "runaway greenhouse effect" takes place,it does so very very quickly!
you just have to look at the planet VENUS to see that!

I'd trust what the scientists tell us, not what ignorant political pundits tell their own ilk. Colder winters are a side effect of the extreme hot we'll experience come summertime... However, not much of a winter going on where I live. It's not even jacket weather in the south.

Oh, just ignore the demonstrable explanation for an increase in snowfall (precipitation) within the global warming model; that an increase in global temperature results in an increase in evaporation and precipitation --- just ignore all that and instead rely upon your anti-science, blinkered, religious, superstitious beliefs.

These people do know the differances between record COLD TEMPERATURE, (which reflect sub zero weather), and record SNOW FALL, (which reflects the amount of condensation that comes down), right? The two are differant things, which mean two differant things. One of the concerns is heavier rain fall cause by warmer temperatures. What's the differance between rain and snow? One degree. That's it....
