  • AHH dat viola at 1:19.... gave me chills

  • the next time you listen to Borodin remember he was just a chemist who wrote music to relax; his house was jammed with people: students, artists, drunkards, bums, and he never knew how to say: no. the next time you listen to Borodin remember his wife used his compositions to line the cat boxes with or to cover jars of sour milk; she had asthma and insomnia and fed him soft-boiled eggs and when he wanted to cover his head to shut out the sounds of the house she only allowed him to use the sheet..
  • this is great but I can hear someone breathing and it's really distracting

    do they have to breathe?

  • @Prancer1231 lol the players do it to help keep time or cue each other or themselves when they start playing at certain parts

  • to margo with ALL my love forever...

  • I know that Borodin did not write those words to this music, but his melodies are so

adaptable to lyrics that one wonders if he didn't have secret lyrics of his own when he wrote

this and other pieces of his. ...

  • All that can stir, all that can stun,

all that's for the heart's lifting

imagine this in one perfect one,

    and this is my beloved.

  • from Jose' Sepulveda, the Hermeterec........."And when she speaks....And when she talks to me.....Music! Mystery!

And when she moves....and when she walks with me Paradise comes suddenly near!

  • I like the entire composition but more so after 5:50

  • Borodin wrote the cello part for himself; he must have been a remarkably talented cellist (or considered himself to be). LOVE THOSE HARMONICS!

  • Con esta pieza de fondo nos vimos a los ojos por primera vez :)

  • Great! Thanks for posting!

  • Wow, the cellist's eyes at 5:38 is startlingly clear and... wow... they're like clear pools that invite people to look in and be lost!

  • @Hailstormand

    Dawn's promising skies

    Petals on a pool drifting

Imagine these in one pair of eyes

And this is my beloved ...

  • Sublime.
