@mapcoxog Interesting you should say that yet you must remember the goal with kettlebells is to not to attain cheap, showy abdominals but to build true strength in one's core. You can do a thousand crunches and get that "chiseled" look but not have a strong, well developed mid-section. When you look at Pavel Tsatsouline's mid-section you don't think much because he doesn't seem "shredded" like an underwear model but let me tell you, he is strong! Have strength in mind my friend!
these exercises are complex, which mean they work many different group muscles. yes you can get strength from it, but you wont build up body mass with kettle bell, because it doesn't target particular muscle. the guy from the left obviously is a gym goer. By gym I mean three basic core exercises bench press, dead lift and squats, the secret is you can increase weights gradually. Only with them you can build up mass. Kettle bell is more an addition not a substitution.
Excellent video on how to do all these right. You can see how its done with GIF's, pictures, and written descriptions but this was much better than them. Before this video I didn't know about the halo at all even after all the literature I have been through. So thats good to know about. My second kettlebells coming soon so renegade rows will be high on the agenda!
I find Steve Maxwell's kettlebell stuff more helpful. Check it out if you feel this is lacking.
