damn i'm having a very hard time with this boss. I know i shouldn't be using Gale for this battle but my Heat is underleveled, where can i grind for fast leveling? pleas help me...
The best place to level for you is Ajna, where you fought Ravana. Or alternatively, go back to the Samsara waterways, into the last area and wait for a pixie to appear. Then you can either keep the pixie alive and have her keep summoning High Pixie's, or have the High Pixie's summon Queen Mab's. Either way, it's easy experience, plus you get luck noises off of High Pixie's too, which is a bonus.
It's the Secret God mantra, at the bottom of the mantra grid. If you haven't got that yet, then at least get chakra walk from the outer god mantra before that. It shouldn't take you too long to learn them in the final dungeon.
Also, if you have any problems beating the last boss, have a look at my other videos to see how I tackled it.
I did a lot of training in Sera's old house and had Serph learn Agi- spells all the way up to a fire god. She was soo easy...the only hard part now is the traps that Sera is leaving around and then the fact that I run out MP due to getting lost in the whole charade. What level do you need to be to beat the final boss with slight ease?
Damn, I just fought her today, too. That's the reason I looked this up. I have level 51s (Serph, Argilla, and Gale). I had my ass handed to me by that Hima Alaya. Next time I guess I'll have to equip Ice Void. Its a shame that Blood Bath doesn't do much damage at all to her - and right after I just learned it!
Yeah, that Hima Alaya is a really strong spell, I found that out at my cost. The reason blood bath didn't do much damage is Vasuki is quite resistant to physical attacks, so it's best sticking to agi- spells on her, as she's weak to them.
As much as I love this series, it's just wrong to be able to get through a dungeon without a scratch and lose to a boss because your HP just isn't high enough, like with this guy.
I couldn't survive the strategy you recommend there, so I used Null Phys. THAT, his AI didn't figure out. Took the ice damage, healed, pounded him with fire, got past him and then did enough leveling to make the Titania corridor, but boy, the boss/random difficulty imbalance was the most annoying thing in the series.
That's definitely another strategy to use. For most of the bosses, HP is a factor, but it's mainly what mantras you've learned and what skills you have set up that determine whether you win or lose. You could have 999 HP and still get creamed by a boss because you haven't got the right skills.
I must admit though, this boss did give me trouble before I found a successful strategy for her.
I love skill set managing in DDS. It always bugged me in Nocturne that you could only have 8 period. I'd get through the dungeons easy on skill set, and since I mastered devouring I could get mantras done without that much combat to level in. I had ice drain on Serph by default, and did a special setup next attempt that I kept fine tuning. No luck. Gamefaqs told me to use the strategy I already was: this one. That was annoying. Not to mention that Heat had Null Phys, the best agi, and low MP.

For my first playthrough, I was in about my mid-fifties when I beat her, and on my second playthrough, when I had better skills, about my forties.
If you're running out of MP, equip mana walk, it'll be virtually impossible to completely run out of MP then, as it regenerates really quickly.
