Her voice brakes my heart, my beloved Sonya, you have been gone for so long. Our son is beautiful...You would be so proud of him...Wait for me...I'll be there as soon as I can!!
Very nice version but I didn't think Sarah Blasko sang this in Little Fish. I am sure it was the kids choir who sang it which was also great by the way.
@pbsmick . Yep. they knocked on y door one night around 7pm ans said they my be interested in using my house in a movie and it went from there. My name and my wifes name are in the credits under special thanks to - Brett and Janelle Cross. I also got an extras part in the movie. I am in the scene when Cate walks out of the service station I walk in.
@oooISPYooo That scene you mentioned is probably one of the most compeling scenes I've ever seen in a movie. The expression on her face when she was looking for the jon to load up. The return of her innocence whatching the pure faces singing a tune so out of character from their world. FUCKING BRILLIANT!!!
I love this song sooooooo much; we always listen to this song when going on a road trip but the Cold Chisel version along with other Cold Chisel songs
Amazing how music can help to open the flood gates. And one can see the pain being carried away by the tears. But though there's nothing else that could set fire to my town. I still find it harder to believe that she won't be around. Rest in peace my dear Vicky. You were and always will be the love of my life.
Lovely song, Like all things Australian. The scene in the movie when Kate is going to the auditorium with the intent of getting high and was stopped in her tracks by the children's choir. That brief moment of innocence regained in Kate's face was priceless and it broke my heart.
I hope that one day I can visit Australia. Being a Cuban, it would be a highlight for me.
Scenes like the children's choir remind me of the choices we make and as you said, "That brief moment of innocence" is beautiful. Plainly, this is example that old classics don't die young passing on their sound, ever changing through tthe generations.

Awful. A really bad reinterpretation of an Australian classic. Rather than the cpecial sound of a soothing, angelic voice, this attempt is a dreary and uninspiring drone.
I dont like the majorty of many musical covers. But I cannot say the same for this one. It wasn't until recently that I started to love the Chisel version, so normally when you like a song and somebody tries to cover it, most people get upset and more than often it doesn't turn out well. But to the Contrary this tune sends shivers up my spine. The soothing sound of an angels voice is what makes this old time Australian classic turn into a modern day masterpiece.

Takes more than just a memory to make me cry
And I'm happy just to sit here round a table with old friends
And see which one of us can tell the biggest lies

Why do people have to destroy perfectly good Cold Chisel songs?
This thing can not sing at all. I don't know what happened in it's mind, but Cold Chisel do not deserve this!
