Totally totally agree. Disgusting behaviour by the BBC. You had some superb vintage Songs of Praise clips on here which I really enjoyed. Why on earth should the beeb want to block them?
I agree -.- I just uploaded a TG video [I do all the time but they never removed them untill this year] and they blocked it world wide. I don't understand, if they don't want people using their content, why the hell is there even a YouTube or their account on YT for that matter?! YouTube knew this would happen (that people upload videos with content like this) but why not just allow it?? we aren't stating its ours in the first place! Argh. I hate YouTube -.-
I am with you on this, after all we pay there dam licence fee, i think we shoud not have to pay it anyway, all the other channels do not ask us to pay for them, they should have adverts instead, ban tv licences, we pay enough in this country.
I think it is stupid, im with you on this, we pay there wages,i think we shouldent be made to pay the licence fee in the first place, all the other cannels are free, except sky, and even they dont ask for exstra for a licence, we realy should stamp this out, alot of poeple are on benifits, and find it hard, to live from day to day, without finding exstra money for the licence, ban the tv licence i say.
RMevans I have been a big fan of your royalty clips. If you see this please note that I still wait to find them again. Hope I will find you again on the internet. thanks for everything buddy. I miss you every time I search youtube.
Poor RMEvans lost his entire Channel of superb Royal Family videos because of BBC copyright..... however they were all images and clips that the BBC does not air and does not make available on DVD....... it's mystifying !
Of course if they thought they could possibly get away with it, they would stop doing SOP altogether. Need I remind you who is now head of Religious Broadcasting?
It's all about info and art control, and it goes beyond money. Be thankful your television channels aren't owned by GE, Disney/Cap, a renegade newspaper man from Australia and a reclusive entertainment mogul.
I see this video about BBC first time and I refer to You, that I try to avoid violation of
copyright. Therefore I prefer to post most videos for friends only. I remember, that I invited You... (the newest "private" video will show the last minutes of "Das Wunder der Liebe")
Yeah really retarted...i was wondering what happend to all those videos u used to have posted. I know that if it werent for you toob i would have never purchased half the cds and dvds that i just had to have after seing somthing on here lol. I dont get it either.
Absolutely correct!! We don't even have SOP over in the states and when I inquired to BBC America, if they would be broadcasting SOP, I received a polite "no", yet they continue to show programmes that are rubbish!
It is bizzare and somewhat baffling. They have deleted some of my clips and even suspended a whole user account over this random copyright campaign. Programs like Top Gear, I can understand, but 10-15 year old clips of Libera on Songs of Praise? I found the magic of Libera, through YouTube watching clips like the one's they have removed.
How do you understand programs like Top Gear? It's a programme that brings in no advertising revenue, and is not sold (and never will be) on DVD to bring in revenue either. There is no negative effect from putting up videos from that show on Youtube, all they'll do is increase the viewerbase and their popularity worldwide. Glad you can somehow understand their willingness to take it off, cos I sure can't, and the cowards haven't replied any e-mail I've sent them.
ahh!! Thats where you are wrong. You see, to watch youtube videos one doesn't need to pay TV license hence the few people example students with internet but no TV can watch these videos on youtube and may be less likely to get TV license.
Hence perhaps thats a reason?? A bad reason non the less but still a reason.
You know, if they want to package these old clips into a DVD that can be purchased there might be at least a small market of dedicated fans willing to pay. If they're just going to destroy the clips it doesn't make sense.
Even if that were the case (and that would be wonderful) Youtube clips CREATE a market and a demand for quality DVDs. Their action is petty, shortsighted, mean-spirited and crazy - Youtube clips could never replace a high quality DVD, but they make excellent FREE advertising.
Yes, I agree with that. Me I editing with voices only, I have all 10 CD from Libera(Angel Voices, St Philips Boys Choir) and editing a video. Also for others Boys Choir.
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
-your ccomment is, shall we sahy, quite out of the ordinary and also somewhat extreme. Your name is not important, but perhaps a little about your background, experiences etc.
Out of the ordinary and extreme? I don't think so. The only experience pertinent to this is that I uploaded clips from some old editions of Songs of Praise which the BBC has gone to all the trouble of having removed.
The BBC is just a money grubbing entity that makes great shows like Top Gear but doesn't want people who don't pay a license to them from the rest of the world to watch it..I guess they can't comprehend the simple fact that youtube would only give more publicity for their shows and drive more people in UK to watch them. wankers.

How true, here in the U.S. we don't know about many programs, but most DVDs can be purchased somehow - once the interest is generated.
The rubbish that's shown on BBC America I would NEVER purchase.

This comment has received too many negative votes show
It seems odd to keep the identity of him/her who wrote the comments on the BBC a secret.

I don't follow. Why would I want to put my name on the internet, what difference would that make to the point I'm raising?
