This ball seemed at 1st to be just another dull surfaced uncontrolable hook monster but I was so wrong, the more I used it the more I loved it, it grows on you, it just takes some time to break it in(about 30 games or so), once she's broke in the BW is the most strong yet predictable hooking ball I've ever thrown. I'm able to play so many different lines with this ball & still carry end pins. If I'm playing deep center arrow tight, swing shot or even the ditch the ball reads the lanes sweet.

i am considering getting the black widow pearl as it is £63 ($129) and from reviews it gives a harder turn than the normal black widow so i am considering getting it its also got a rep oif sucking up oil aswell tho

The only ball that is comparable to this ball in performance without having to crank the ball to get it there is a Fury. The difference is the Widow is more controlable and persistant. I too have a Fury low grit finish.

This it truely a Turkey Bagging Ball.

I bet I could get 450 rpm's w/ 12-13 mph..... BTW, I just got my Widow (600 grit) drilled and throw 3 games: 223,242,248. This ball is amazing. I picked up 100+pins on my previous 132 average on a reactive resin conventional grip. I used the second drill layoutin the 1st drill pattern. The layouts come with your ball and this one is for madium to heavy oily lanes. I was throwing it right handed on the fourth board from the right and getting strikes or nine pins down every time.

Plastic balls do not suck for spare conversions! I have no idea why the fuck anyone would argue and say plastic balls suck for spares. All the pros use plastic balls to pick up their spares, as do I. Trust me, if you are a high rev bowler, the best thing for you is a plastic ball for spares!!!

Well, when missing my targets become a habit, I will look into reactive resin. So if this ball truly sucks, what would you recommend? I was thinking No Mercy, or this black widow pearl (Strange how the 15lbs ball has more curve than the 16lbs). Maybe a Road Hawg. I won't argue with you, because I am still new to this sport and I am not going to pretend I know what the hell I am talking about.

Nobody really uses their striker to pick up balls. That is what those plastic/polyester balls are for. They shoot more straight. My first ball is a polyester ball. It shoots very straight. I rarely miss with that thing. But these balls with good spin, aren't really used for a single pin. That is like complaining that nobody uses plastic spare ball grabbers for strikes. Know what I mean?

im "skeptical" about the whole "44 foot oil pattern" cause i bowled on the shark pattern tonight and that is a 44 foot PBA shot and i had very little backend.. and i use an infinite one that has alot of backend on shorter patterns like the viper (37 feet) im not calling you a liar or anyhting like that though

Good video! I'm an inside player also, and I had one of these as well. Local center flooded the house shot, so I had to get something stronger, but this ball is superb overall. Mine was drilled pin over at 5 inches from PAP, MB at 3 inches from PAP. I'm a strong tweener, hitting 15th board at arrows, hitting 5th board at breakpoint. I'm eventually drilling another for a stronger midlane roll soon. Two thumbs up!

Nice videos man. I recently got into bowling and got a question. As a cranker is it optimum to have your thumb fit all the way in? I'm asking this is because the guy who drilled my ball said it's fine to just have the tip just inside...my buds think he's just too lazy to re-drill it.

You thumb should always be fully inserted into the ball, you should also check to make sure that it can stay on your hand while keeping your hand completely relaxed inside the ball with minimal wrist cupping.
