Turns out that in Korea, hospitals are very commonly gone to in dealing with minor health concerns. My host mom would always ask me if I wanted to go to the hospital when I had a headache or something of the sort. ~the more you know~

So bad... This is not true!!!!!!!!! Stupid idiot video... I can't understand you are living in Korea and You like Korea but, why you uploaded this video?
Come on, everyone knows if a kid misses one day of school in 9th grade, he obviously is doomed for life. I feel like this quote is kinda fitting to the Korean education system: "You can earn all A's in school and then go out and fail at life."
diligent? as a Korean I think this is way one-sided. it's true that Koreans tend to leave "going to the hospital" as a last resort because that's just cultural difference, but still they don't think of it as diligence. for school kids don't want to miss a lot of class and hw. for workers, missing too much work could be a problem but they don't go to show that they're diligent. the supervisor might not understand and etc. there are always other reasons.
@tokee1234567 I'm sorry if this video offended you. It was not my intention to offend anyone. I love Korea and I still live here. That said, this is an actual conversation I have had with my co-teacher. Almost word-for-word. So, these are truthful standards being practiced in Korea. I hope you can understand my position and that this video was made "all in good fun" to entertain the foreign teachers to have had experiences similar to this.
@Waygookin1 okay. (I was slightly offended I guess because of the accents these characters had while speaking but i guess that's part of the animation program). Yes I know these things happen but unless ppl know that not all Koreans are like that they can just look at this video and have stereotypes or some prejudice about Korea, that's all I'm saying. Working in Korea's hard, things like this happens for native Koreans too.
Hilarious! Its sad that such bizarre norms are still widely accepted today as conventional work code ethics in a developed country like S Korea! Can't help sympathising with people who live in such a society of which children are raised to ignore logic but to live with patronised work ethics. It is an inevitabe imperative for the Korean gov & the emlpoyers to revise the industrial laws and employment contracts for the sake of a long term prodcutivity increase if that's what they care for most.
I thought they were going to break into a fight... =/
Is it me or does the guy look like he's staring at her, er ah..torso, from time to time?

As a long-term resident also, no, it's not a hate video. It's just how it is, and sometimes we gotta have a chuckle.

Brilliant. I heard that word, "diligent" so many times during my four years teaching in Korea, I became to hate that word.
