Well done SV, MW and RBR, and a great race from RB in the BrawnGP car. RB is such a nice guy. I was lucky enough to be only a few feet from him when they did a meet-the-fans sessions, and he is most sincere. Tough luck on the Brits: JBs car was just not performing, and LH put on a great show for the fans. Donuts, eh! I wonder how much he got fined by the FIA for entertaining the crowd. Thanks Lewis!

I welcome the positive noises over a British GP next year, but it angers me that the "powers-that-be" are losing sight of the fans. Perhaps the show at Silverstone was a reminder for the "suits." I was there, at Silverstone for all three days, and it really looked like there was a demand for a British GP. I hope the "suits" are suitably embarrassed.

fota is all the big guns in F1, actually all them currently, but williams and force india(where is the suck button...) will not be able to compete because they already signed up for the next F1 season. so the gird next year is what? five? the FOTA series would definatly get sponsorships, there is just so much power with brawn, ferrari, mclaren, ect.

the engines situation: the new teams are sporting cosworths, but it still says that toyota would power williams and merc would supply force india. Do they drop their motors, and help prove how serious they are about the rebel series, or should they still support their members that have been caught up in the new season? how boring would it be if the grid were cosworths? it'll definitely show the best constructor but still. also, usf1 has peter windsor behind it, so would it join williams in FOTA?

Another top review as always. Im afriad not the most interesting of races but good to see Vetel win. Lets hope if there is a fota championship next year it will start at Silverstone just like the original F1 championship did all those yeas ago. Ive read some of the pottential tracks that fota may use in 2010 are basically all the classic track like Adelaide, Kyalami, Montreal , Imola, Estori that got dumped by Money Backs Ecclestone.

now it´s again very boring. The driver of the day is definately Vettel and the Massa coming from 11th to 4th. But I really like Silverstone and british crowd and hopefully it will be there in the next season as well.

For me the British GP was again boring race, better than Turkey two weeks ago, but still quite boring. The only action was at the back of the field - Heidfeld, Alonso, Hamilton etc. It´s again very difficult to overtake somebody - Hamilton was much faster than Kubica and Alonso wasn´t able to pass much slower Heidfeld with damaged front wing. I think it´s because of the double diffusers. In the first race in Melbourne the cars didn´t have good balance, we saw overtaking, spins, funny moments

I read on a site that Branson may look at a smaller team next year so maybe you'll still get to see him on the grid next year.

If the break away does happen they say 1 set of rules they couldn't agree with the diffuser at the start of season. I can't see them agreeing a set of rules and to sort it all out in 9 months. Something else I read is that Max has dropped his legal case and Bernie has now said that major teams should not be subject to a budget cap next year.

I hope that there does not make concrete the FOTA's decision to create a category parallel to the F-1, but if this way it happened, I will follow "new F-1"

About the race, Vettel returned to the victories path... which makes much more enterteining the F-1 championship, and in addition the happened about Silverstone made me think that Brawn GP is not the perfect team (in spite of Rubinho's third place, darkened by RB 1-2), I wait that in the following races of some track battle between both =P

Also I wish that the whole political thing would be sorted out. I am so tired of all the posturing going on. Either split or don't split. But even if there is a split I would still follow both the FOTA and F1 races. I just hope that each side can be civil in this kind of situation and not try to directly compete on the same sundays. I think that it is a little early to be talking about vettel challenging for the championship just yet. While it was great to see him get a win in, Silverstone was nearly built for his car. As we know, the red bull has been consistently quick through the fast corners, which constitute most of the track.

Fota are not going to break away and start a new series, well a successful series. For that all 8 teams would be needed. Already there are signs that there are differences. Some want to talk and resolve the issues, and a few are determined to go it alone. Bernie will sort it all out, as he always does.

Even if Newey manages to keep the Red Bull car dominant the rest of the season, I think Button's mature driving will keep him on top. Vettel's early-season DNFs might come back to haunt him if the championship is decided by only a few points.

I hope FOTA forms their own league. Both Max and Bernie are a disaster to F1. With FOTA there will be races in US, Canada, and the traditional Euro F1 venues that have been left out by Bernie's chase for government money in 3rd world countries.

I agree, if FOTA do start a new series they could get rid of the crap that Max and Bernie have on the current F1 regulations and could have new rules such as no refueling, don't have to use both soft/hard tyres in race, KERS etc. I can see it being more interesting as it would be what the teams and fans want and not what Max and Bernie think we want.

I disagree, it was not a fantastic race, it's never great when one team dominates a race like that. It's nice that Vettel might be able to put pressure on Button by the end of the season, but I hate to see individual races dominated by one team. Even with a craptastic car today Button managed to drive well and minimize the damage.

It seems like the cooler temperature doesn't quite suit the Brawn's as well as the Red Bull's. Button's charge came too late in the race to do anything better than 6th but damage limitations is better than no points. Vettel's win is great as no one could touch him over the weekend. Good to see Massa back on form from all the way back from 11th to 4th!

watching todays race it is evident that,

1.Button isnt as talented as every1 is making out. like Massa best comfortable on pole.

2.whoever is onpole has the best chance of wining(also reasonable fuel) i.e vettel

3.Double difuser has f**ked overtaking groups + FIA's plans to bitts(thanks to Brawn)

Nice Vid, did you notice Jenson keep banging on about " But you carnt overtake here " and again " You carnt overtake " Jenson watch the race back and watch Lewis Hamilton racing. This is what Jenson is missing I feel. He aint aggressive enuff. Lewis pulled off 2 overtakes I believe and if he got the opportunity more he would pull them off. I either want FOTA to set up its own championship, or I want Max and Bernie gone from F1 forever. It's because of Max that this year's cars are so ugly in comparison to last years. It is because of Max that the Renault now sucks, for the Renault was designed around the Michelin tyre.
