I skipped straight to Volsung while trying to hop over the mountain on my way to another quest. I was level 9 at the time :'(

you missed the part in volkskygge right before you go outside to the dragon priest where you have to fight the fucking dragur death overlord thats like level 40

@GunzFerSale - death lords are one-hit kills. if they aren't for you, a walkthrough isn't going to help you there. see tradeskill guides on how to make higher damage weapons.

all you need is the iron dagger exploit and get 90 smithing and craft deadric swords and enchant them with a good fire damage and fight him he will go down quick..

Just want you all to know that you can just walk up the steep hill outside the start of the dungeon. It takes then 2 min to come up to Volsung:)

@pms00 Yea, Bethesda needs to buff 2h weapons, but I doubt that will happen. I think it is sort of a weird middle ground between sword/board and dual wielding. Though, I never tested how blocking works with 2h, but I can imagine it loses out on a lot of the good perks in that tree.

@crazymaku - yep - 2h damage never comes close. also, if you properly tradeskill your armor to reduce incoming damage by a large enough amount - there is absolutely no need to use 1h + shield. it is a huge loss in dps. if you can take the hits, the dps from dual-wield power attack overshadows everything else by an enormous margin. you are better off smithing your armor set, hitting the armor cap, and stacking resists than using a shield for any reason.

@Sternwii - vendor kill/restock trick if i need something specific. otherwise, i look in every corner/container/hallway of every inch of every area and save everything for when i need it. vendor force-restocking is much better if you are just trying to make a specific potion.

@UndeniedExpert Scroll the mousewheel back to zoom out... Not sure how to do it on console. Try holding whatever button it is for third person and moving the stick.
