Were I the subject of all this attention, I'd be disgusted by the masses claiming to "love" me, despite having never met me, or not knowing anything about me. It's so superficial and easy to say something like that.
Hell, half of the media attention I've seen about this has so comprehensively misrepresented suicide, it's set the problem back even further. One story spoke of people who "just want to cheer up the sad people". Because apparently, clinical depression is the same as just being "sad".
@horrabletypoe As someone who has gone through a bought with depression, I can say that I agree in the fact that it is not the same as just being sad, but at the same time, sometimes love and support from strangers is all you need to realize you don't need to end it.
This is absolutely beautiful. This man or woman carries within him or her the light that could bring the world out of darkness. Already 40,000 complete strangers from all around the world have come together in love and support for one person they may never meet.
Absolutely beautiful! Thank you for creating this; someone needed too. I just pray that this anonymous jumper finds this in time, and that they know how much we want them here -- no matter if it's Texas, New York, Michigan, India, wherever. They can have a life anywhere they choose.

i feel for this postsecret person and hope they see all the love and support. this isn't just for that one person though.. IT'S FOR ALL PEOPLE THAT SUFFER. we all have our own stories and circumstances that have taken us down many lonely roads. if you are one of those people who are either depressed or considering suicide, PLEASE KNOW YOU ARE LOVED. we need YOU in this world. <3
