I have just been watching Season 10 American Idol Hollywood week and it occurred to me that this is the one and only time I've ever heard on this show a contestant saying that Hollywood week was fantastic!!! How unusual of David to be so positive in such a pressure cooker situation. Just gives you a glimpse of the positive person that he really is. Plus what a great singer he really is, because the rigors of the competition did not really faze him, at least not yet! Stay positive David.

AI couldn't--or wouldn't--get the clearance for "Crazy," so they couldn't show it, Jason Castro sang it, too. Archie tried to get it cleared for the finale but failed, he (& maybe Jason) are hoping to sing it on tour). But Australian Idol received permission for the song to be used so I don't know. But I heard that David's audition was, as Simon said, "Incredible," & probably the best audition EVER.

Calm down Archies! AI has to get a clearance for every song used in the show. David (Jason, too) sang "Crazy" by Gnarls Barkley but AI could not get copyright clearance although Austrailian Idol did get it. I know both David & Jason for the finale wanted to sing "Crazy" & still weren't able to do it, so David sang "Imagine," instead. I wish I had been in the audience for his performance, I heard that it was brilliant (Simon referred to it is "incredible").

oh no he sang it during Hollywood week before Heaven but they didn't televise it because Crazy is not cleared or something. A lot of contestants sang Crazy this season and they couldn't show any of them on tv because one of the people associated with the song won't give permission or w/e. that's why a lot of Archie's fans want him to sing it at the finale so they can see how amazing it is.

I don't get it. In this video, pre-AI/hollywood, Archuleta looked like a hip teenager with his hair, posture, stance, exuding COMPLETE confidence in himself. He was chatty & acted like a typical COOL teenager. He displayed confidence when the judges critiqued him. He did NOT look shy at all! Then at the AI stage & outside of stage, everyone sees that he's shy, low confidence, looking surprised for being picked.I know that kids as young as 10 years old know how to pretend. Am I being suckered?
