All I'm saying is the regular controller just feels right and I will never be able to adapt to sticky buttons, the Wiimote sideways is like playing with a shitty mad catz controller or some other off brand trash.
I clean my remotes regularly, it's not that the buttons themselves are sticky it's that the input stays on too long and sometimes when I push left or right it goes up or down. My wiimotes are also first gen so maybe they took care of that problem with the newer ones. It seems like I'm the only person here that has this problem.
And i've never liked any off brand controllers, madcats was just an example.
19? So you were BORN in 1991ish..and you're trying to argue with people who have been playing NES since 1986 like you know what you're talking about?
The Wiimote has a tiny fucking dpad which is inferior to the NES dpad. The A and B buttons on the NES pad are bigger at all and both are concave. In short, it was MADE for these games which make it easier to play with.
@Nintariz The NES still existed in the 90's. That's when I played & loved one. It's possible to have had just as many awesome, fun experiences then as someone who got the NES when it came out. Saying that someone "doesn't know what they're talking about" just because they were born at a certain time is just childish. Whichever controller you prefer is the best one for you. And honestly, you're arguing over a video game controller. Get some perspective.
@PhantasmalFantastic Yes your right there was a time where Nintendo didn't suck and had great consoles, games, and controllers before they went insane and made gimmicky consoles like the Wii (and Wii FU) for grandmas and dumb people and before that horrible controllers like the N64 and GameCube ones. That time was the NES days (and SNES days) where the games were just fun, better made and didn't give you tennis elbow or make you look like a dork waving your arms like chicken.
@DoubleAgentBrasco Three words Turbo Fire Buttons (or Auto Fire Buttons) that's what you get when you use a NES to Wii Adapter with a NES Max or NES Advantage (no more carpal tunnel from tapping buttons) for the NES shooters (like Life Force). Yes the Wii sucks but Virtual Console saves it, and the NES to Wii Adapter (and SNES to Wii Adapter) works on GameCube too (D-pad only) so you can play Gameboy Games on the Gameboy Player and a few GameCube Fighters like SoulCalibur 2.
I have 4 Retroports 2 NES one for WII and PC and 2 SNES one for Wii and PC,which is great for rapid fire(Turbo) buttons for game like Super C and Megaman and a few Wiiware games sadly it won't work for MegaMan 9.The nice part is you can use a NES Advantage and Asccii SNES arcade sticks too, also on a few non analog stick GameCube games like Resident Evil,Naruto(not 4) and finaly the Gameboy Player for GB and GBA games.

im 19 and I owned a NES.
I still say the Wiimote on its side is almost the same as an nes controller.
If you cant adapt to the minor difference thats sad.

clean your wii mote. open it up and wash it out. 5 of the wii motes ive used never had sticky buttons.
And whats wrong with madcats controllers? I think they work really well. It may be because I like the buttons being closer together.

I cant wait to get this because I finally downloaded some games today from the virtual console and I wanna play with the nes controller soo bad lol
polarseltz 3 years ago
There is a pretty good possibility that it will work but I don't know for sure.
DoubleAgentBrasco 3 years ago
I got it off E-bay it was like $26 for the adapter only. I already had the controller.
I use it all the time and haven't found any problems with it yet. I couldn't play mega man without it.
DoubleAgentBrasco 3 years ago
It is definitely worth it especially if you are used to playing 8-bit NES.
It blows the Wii-mote away and I still haven't found any issues with it.
