got mine out 12 days ago, the only thing you have to worry about is post opp bleeding....if you are getting your tonsils out ....remember, after surgery stay calm and take it easy for the first 10 days!
I gor mine taken out 4 years ago i was really scared at first but once they started rolling me to the O.R. tats when I started to freak out :( it hurts afterwards but it eventually goes away and ur diet is strictly controlled for about 2 weeks :P
i got my tonsils out yesterday and it looks sore in the video but its nothing i was petrified before i got it done i was crying but when i got in the hospital the doctor gave you a chose to get a gas mask or a needle after the operation my throat was num so i didny feel anyhin the next day which is today its quiet sore but you get a spray on your throat it helps take the pain away you get tablets but i couldny swallow them so i disolved them with water
I guess if there were severe complications yes, or if the surgeon did a botch job and you ended up hemorrhaging to death, but it's such a standard procedure that there's nothing to worry about

yes the tonsile is about 1 cm above the external carotid artery which is main artery to brain
you can imagine if un skilled hand do tonsillectomy thanks

Its safe since they arn't cut out. They are kinda like singed but not. They use a plasma type beam to cut the skin safely.
