Thanks for the video. It says at the end it was shot using a Kodak; was this with the Z990? Either way I was impressed with the run through of the Z990's features and the picture quality of the video.

Stop being cheap!!!! And use the 2CCD systems ...not the CMOS CMOS are horible in lowlight for point and shoot,check the fz48 from lumix and it has a high sensitive 2 layer CCD!!! CCD is always best smooth readout and better in lowlight !!

@vwlover94 CCD has a lot of noise in long exposure that's why high end use CMOS. I can't believe I can get an SLR grade CMOS for under £200 wow. I own a Panasonic G2 and Kodak z1015is. I've been waiting for a bridge camera with CMOS and now it's here. Whoot! :D

@sham1z dude check this camera out. it has alot of good user feedbakcs and youtube has alot of reviews about it. pm me back about your thoughts. check the "fujifilm finepix s2950" i know you will love this. and it costs $166 only over ebay.. :D

@seaboo143 i like it its perfect and its kinda similar but at the same time it seems easier to use and i very much like the price and that it has 14 mp, capable of recording video in 720p and the 3inch lcd and that's only the Beginning thanks dude ;p

I've read that the camera resets to oversaturated mode each time its turned on, why not Natural mode, wouldnt that have made more sense, what do you have to do to place it into the Natural mode, is it enough of a hassle to not want to buy this camera ?

Hi I just bought this camera and find that it is very slow in taking individual photo's is there a way to change the setting..

Once I take one photo it stays on that photo for a while before I can take another shot.... hope you can understand this....lol

@marie11210 Hey marie- If you have your camera settings set to take large MB images, you may experience a slight delay as processing takes place.

I tried the SCN setting for night landscape, the photos came out bright but very blurry.. is that something I might have done?

I have not see the Kodak Z990 Max personally, know short comings from the Z980 and Z981 the I instructions screen can't be vied effectively in Bright light as the viewing screen is highly reflective plastic. Batteries supplied do not perform well. instead use 8X lithium batteries they are through always but will last 6 - 8 hours in continuous operation . For a more complete camera description download the 80 Page extended user's manual from the Kodak support site in PDF Format.

If everything Mr. McLenon states is true about this camera, this is the camera we Kodak lovers have all been waiting for. The Z980 and Z981 were OK to a certain extent, but low light photos suffered tremendously as well as image quality from both. The P20 Zoom Flash did improve the low-light issue for the Z980 but nothing for the Z981. The internal CMOS sensor in my opinion should eliminate its predecessors drawbacks. I myself truly look forward to its release later this month.

The other big concern I have is how fast it will be with taking one pix after another, for when those unexpected shots come along right after taking a planned pix. I just hope the release date doesnt get pushed back again, not sure how much longer I can wait to get a camera !

My current camera, Z812 IS Just broke, would this be a comparable replacement? Also , would the battery life be as good as with my Z812 IS? It wasnt uncommen for me to take around 200 pix at weddings with one fully charged battery, I'd hate to have to carry too many spares around.

It's cool it has 1080p but I'd rather have 720p at 60fps. Boo for that. I would like to know how the picture quality compares to the Panasonic Lumix Zs7. Now that's a camera with some sharp video.

@macuser5555 It's a compact model but on a higher end with a super zoom. It has almost the same features as a DSLR but the lens are non-removeable and it doesn't have a hot shoe.

@priyankeshu1 Hey there. The cam shoots HD video and is comparable to our video cams. The internal mic is not as robust as with our video cams so sound will be better with the PlayTouch and Zi8.

It's a nice camera but it's only 12MP and it doesn't have a secondary shutter button on the hand grip like the Z981. I own the Z981 and it's 14.1MP. Hopefully, Kodak will come out with another model with a higher mega pixel.

Its actually not good to have a high megapixel count on a small sensor and i am glad kodak have decided to go with 12 rather than bumping it up to something stupid like 14 or 16 mp.

@bloodline305 The z981 is a beautiful camera, but it's got some problems when it comes to image quality (Sorry Kodak!). It would have been nice if they had used the z981's form, especially with the extra shutter button, but the fact that Kodak isn't concerned about cramming more useless pixels into this camera makes me hopeful that they are focusing more on image quality.

Some more info, like min/max shutter speed and the possibility for panoramic photo. The size of the sensor ?
