All you need to do is find a tricycle that you like, then buy an electric hub motor wheel. Do some homework and buy one of the stronger motors if you would like good speed and strong torc. I have actually seen kits specifically for tricycles. Put one together yourself and you'll see you can save a fortune in money and end up with a custom machine with no equal. I put a kit together for my mountain bike. The batteries that I need are difficult and expensive. Not for the tricycle, no sir/mam.

@arbonac i have had good results from generation 1 prius batteries. the pack is made up of sticks of six ni mh d cells welded together. 6 amp hour to 50% discharge. you can draw 50 amps from these batteries.
