  • I love how certain spells had animations to them like meteor bombardment and this

  • Epic spell

  • As a Baldur's Gate player, I have never been as jealous of another game's spell as I am right now. Then again, we do get time stop.

  • PRACTICAL. AS. FUCK.

  • damage: 64 :/

  • Quoi ???? je savais pas que ce pouvoir existe !!!! coooool

  • Notice that there are no dislikes for this video.

  • Made my day, love it!

  • Being shot point-blank in the face by an interdimensional MEGA-CANNON. Talk about a bad day.

  • a "magic spell" that summons a cannon blast via portal? magic? here's my magic spell: "ammmaa haazuullll" *pulls gun out and shoots someone*

  • @m00ph00 I allmost wet my pens ^^

Even better than Indiana Jones that shoots the random "ninja" like sword fighter.

  • that was epic : D

  • i'm firin mah lazer! Blargh!

  • 0:13 Dear God, someone's gonna die.....and it'll be awesome!

  • When I saw this my jaw dropped so bad... Oh I HAVE to get this game!

  • Despite all the annoying "fetch me a widget" quests, that game was fun as hell. Someone should remake it.

  • @m2pmd70 well goodoldgames (gog.com) releasd a remake in sep 2010 which inccludes fix patches and spells that were cut from the game. it`s a ten dollor down load.

it`s not relly a remake but a better version re-released with no bugs in this version

  • I said, SUPPER'S READY!

  • God, I love shouting "IMMA CHARGIN MAH LASER" when I cast this. Way, way too much. Good times.

  • why don't more western RPGs have awesome cutscene-based spells like these? even in current generation games all the spells are fireballs and iceballs and thunderballs.

  • @thisonesused Same reason so many people complain about JRPG summon cutscenes' run times being measured in minutes.

  • I like how while the target just got blasted by a laser out of nowhere, everyone else just continues what they were doing.

  • That spell oddly ressembles the spell "Summon Cow" in Baldur's gate 1...

  • Well... that was badass.

  • What I expected:

    Damage: 20W20

    What I got:

    Damage: 64

    Still awefuckgreat game

  • @NukeClock 64 damage was a LOT in AD&D

  • Yeah, 64 damage back then could be enough to destroy some PCs who rolled poorly on their HP gains.

  • this game still scares the crap out of me @__@

  • Mentlegen.

  • wow.................

  • Shoop da woop

  • high powered cannon + pinpoint accuracy= those "little" modrons really know how to fight wars efficiently.

  • okay fine ill do the joke.

    BOOOM HEADSHOT!!!!

  • deadly precisssinonnnnnnnn

  • LMAO hahahaha!!!

  • Believe me Lesny. People at Bethesda have played and loved planescape torment.

  • But they have always failed miserably

  • And they probably liked it for the size of the breasts in the creature art and Final Fantasy-like spell effects.

  • PWNED!

  • That's so cool! I'm impressed/surprised they put so much work into animating a single spell. I had that in Ignus inventory but he lost it in death and I didn't find out until I saved over the game that resurrected characters lost their items.

  • holy blast!!!! That was great I finished this game like 4 time and never got that spell. I tough Ignus's Fury was the most powerful spell

  • HAHAHA..I love the Machanus canon. The concept of it is so surreal, yet hillarious at the same time. Blasting someone through a gate, reminds me of Stargate SG1.

  • hah! that's a hilarious spell.

  • One of the best games ever.

    also: FF7 Junon anyone? ;)

  • Right you are! That's the Modrons take on the Sister Ray!

  • lolwut

  • wtf O_ol

  • I never get sick of watching this.

  • lol owned

  • I love how the Abshai gets turned into pizza and the dabus just keeps on hammering :P

  • That was incredible.

  • OWNED.

  • Wow! I'd missed that game... My loss...

  • Try looking for it on Ebay, I'm sure if you keep looking you have a chance to get it from someone.

    - JC

  • If you really, really want it I suppose you could try pirating it until such a time comes as you are able to get it. Really recommend trying to buy it, though. It is awesome.

  • Well, the real issue is that it'd lock up my PC. Kind of like "Magic Carpet". The problem with some of those games is they had to 'trick' OS's to do their effects, and later layers of bloatware don't jive well with it. Mmmmight however "Revive" an old Pentium200 in my garage for it...

  • Hmmh. Well, I'd recommend it. This game is deffo worth the effort - I'll be frank, though, it looks as though you're more savvy with the technical thingamajicks than me, but have you tried compability mode?

    Just a thought.

  • Strangely enough, it works on my new high-end Vista powered PC. the only things you need to change is change the rendering devices to Software instead of Hardware -- that fixes pretty much the entire graphics problem.

The reason it's strange, is because it doesn't need compatibility mode for me -- worked straight out of the install.

    Just to help those curious.

P.S.: I think there are some kind Planescape Torment fans that have put up good torrents, give it a try.

    - JC

  • People get their panties all in a tussle over pirating games but you can't buy some old games anymore! Rather than buy it used (since none of that money goes to the publisher) I pirate any game that is no longer available for purchase that I want.

  • Is there a way to do it safe? I want to download Fallout 2, this game, Icewind Dale 1 and 2.

    =]

  • You can get all those games legally on Gametap.

  • I love Baldur's Gate but I missed out on this game. Is it has good?

  • Planescape Torment and Baldur's Gate are on the same level of greatness in my eyes. Both are lovely.

  • It's excellent. Compared to BG, it's a little light on the combat but if you want a game with an insanely good storyline (not your typical save the world plot) and love reading, this is it

  • Planescape is like playing baldurs gate and reading an excellent book at the same time.

  • Apparently, The Nameless One thinks with portals.

  • BAHAHAHA, wan't some cake ?

  • :(((

  • oh wait I didnt realize that was posted a month ago, back then cake jokes were only slightly lame

  • haha man, I loved this spell when I was playing pst.

  • Are there 3.5 stats for this spell anywhere?

  • This video just made modrons cool for me

  • Modrons were always cool! ;)

  • lol, a little delayed death

  • Fatality!

  • I still liked those spel which were increasing their damage with each level gained. I remember killing some nasty giant worms in catacombs - Stygian Ice Storm was dealing above 200 dmg to the creatures - that was something!

  • I was fighting the robot from which you could get the spell... K, minions, no problem, we've dealt with them before... Three down... Stupid bot, stop casting annoying low lvl spells... Then I noticed he started a pretty long spell. When the movie sequence started, I knew something was very, VERY bad. After seeing that cannon being rolled up and charging my jaw dropped. And then it fired into the portal that opened next to my party...

Oh, the anticipation of horrible, inescapable DOOM =)

  • A hundred foot long cannon..firing a massive stream of energy into a dimensional window..which OPENS INTO THE BAD GUYS FACE?!

    How brilliant.

  • I'd say Planescape's effects were considerably better... you can see the reference though, particularly in the golden dragon of the celestial host spell, looks a lot like Bahamut. That said... comparing the two games, Planescape had 400,000 sales, FFVII aproaches ten million. Which one deserved fame?

I'll give you a hint, people are stupid.

  • i have a friend who played it and quit without even stepping out of the mortuary, thats what pst is all about, they got scared of by the dialogue, and there's truckloads of them from the very start, i almost did myself, but thankfully i hung on and the game got more and more rewarding aftrwards as the storyline and gameplay grows on u, if FF7 rightfully got 10 mil copies sold, pst deserve just as much.

  • Isnt it the other way around? Planescape Torment is MUCH older than ff7.

  • Nope, FF7 came out two years before PST

  • One of my favorite spells - Mechanus' Cannon rule!

  • that was so....cool

  • Cool attack. I don't evern remember seeing stuff like that when I played it.
