Sing was the first song that inspired me -- "don't worry if it's not good enough for anyone else to hear" just struck me, even then, as something everyone needed to be told. We all worry so much about what people think of us. Whew, still gives me chills.
Omg, I just could'nt resist, so here goes.........(clears throat), Sesame Street was brought to you tonight by the letter E (for an emmy win) and the Number 40. Happy 40 Years Sesame Street, And Best Wishes Too.
His name's David, played by Northern Calloway. He was part of Sesame Street during the 70s and to a lesser extent during the 80s. The character left in 1989, and the actor died in 1990.
The top three are still my favorites. Sesame Street should really watch these classic clips and try and get back here. This was good television. :)

Any coincidence that all of these songs feature the human cast and NO puppets performing with them? Hey, SS of today, take the hint!

Oh yeah, Sing was right there from the beginning. In fact, it was going to be the show's intro.
